🤍 Build on your experience. We live in our condo in Canada for most of the year and travel to Mexico for a few months in the winter. My husband and I had always been self employed with various business ventures either together or separately. The last business was a coffee/bistro that we owned for over 9 years and our business thrived ! However, as with any brick-and-mortar business it consumed us...physically, emotionally and monetarily. We rarely had much time to do anything else and only had 2 short vacations. The business eventually took its toll on my husband's health (cancer) so we made the decision to sell. It soon became apparent that the retirement lifestyle we had envisioned was not going to happen with only government pensions and limited proceeds from the sale of the business. That's when I decided to look for something I could do from home as I didn't want to go to work for someone else...and besides who was going to hire me at 65!!! We were vacationing in Mexico when good friends of ours introduced me to the online business opportunity. I wasn’t too familiar with social media; however, I knew I needed to enhance our pensions, so this was a scary step …not to mention my husband was very skeptical. However, I did my due diligence, listened to my inner voice and choosing this business has been one of the best decisions I have ever made - Personally, Professionally and Financially. I have been enjoying this journey as digital nomad and our lifestyle is so much better. We can travel, spend quality time with our grandchildren and not be limited to a frugal retirement lifestyle. My husband health is so much better (cancer is in remission) ,we are living a healthier, happier life with less stress and more time to enjoy all that life has to offer. This business provides me with the opportunity to help others as I am now a mentor, and we are all about supporting each other and giving back. If you’re not smiling on a Monday morning… maybe it’s time to change things up! 😉

Here’s a thought…

What if Monday isn’t really the problem? 🤔

What if it’s simply reminding you that something in your life isn’t quite as fulfilling as it used to be?

We change. Our priorities change. And what made us happy 10 or 20 years ago might not be what we want today.

And that’s okay! 💙

After decades of working, raising families, and taking care of everyone else, there comes a time when we start asking…

✨ What’s next for ME?

✨ Is there something more I could be doing?

✨ What would make me excited to start my day again?

Those questions are part of what led me to explore something completely different at 65.

An online business! 💻

Now, I wasn’t looking to go back to a traditional job, punch a clock, or have someone else deciding how I spent my time.

I wanted something of my own.

Something I could learn, build, and grow at my own pace.

Something that would challenge my mind, give me a sense of purpose, and open doors I hadn’t even considered before.

Was I nervous? Absolutely! 😂

Did I know everything about building a business online? Not even close!

But I was willing to learn.

And here I am at 71, still learning, still growing, and genuinely excited about the possibilities ahead.

That’s what this business has given me. Not just something to DO, but something to look FORWARD to! 💙

And that’s a pretty wonderful feeling at this stage of life.

Now, I’m not suggesting everyone needs an online business to enjoy Mondays.

But if you’ve been feeling that little nudge that says there must be something more for me…

Maybe it’s worth exploring what’s possible.

Because sometimes the change you’re looking for starts with being willing to try something you’ve never done before.

And who says you can’t start at 60, 65, 70, or beyond? 😉

AN ONLINE BUSINESS ISN’T A JOB. IT’S A CHOICE! 💻🔥

A choice to build something of your OWN.

A choice to stop depending entirely on someone else to decide what your time and experience are worth.

A choice to learn something new, step outside your comfort zone, and create opportunities you may never have imagined possible. 🙌

And here’s the thing…

Not everyone will make that choice. And that’s perfectly OKAY! ❤️

Some people love the security and structure of a traditional job. Others want the independence, flexibility, and responsibility that come with building something of their own.

Neither path is right for everyone.

But here’s what I know…

When I made the decision to start my online business at 65, I wasn’t looking for another JOB!

I’d already spent decades working hard, building a career, running a business, and doing what needed to be done.

I wasn’t looking to work MORE. I was looking for a different way to live! 🌎✈️

Was it easy? NOPE!

Did it happen overnight? Absolutely NOT! 😂

It took commitment, consistency, learning new skills, and being willing to keep going when things didn’t go as planned.

But I wasn’t starting from scratch either.

I brought a lifetime of experience, resilience, work ethic, and determination with me. And those things MATTER! 💪

I wanted to create more choices for my future. More flexibility with my time. More opportunities to earn. And the ability to enjoy this chapter of my life without feeling that my options were getting smaller.

And today, one of the things I love most is mentoring other women who are beginning to ask themselves those same questions. 🩵

Because here’s what I’ve learned…

👉 You don’t HAVE to start an online business.

👉 You don’t HAVE to become an entrepreneur.

👉 You don’t HAVE to want the same things I do.

BUT…

If you’re unhappy with where you are financially…

If you’re tired of trading more of your precious time just to get ahead…

If you’ve spent decades working hard and wondering whether there’s something MORE for you…

You owe it to yourself to at least explore your options! 👏

Because staying exactly where you are is ALSO a choice.

And sometimes the biggest change in your life begins with one decision to do something DIFFERENT.

Not everyone will choose to build something of their own.

But every woman deserves to know she still has CHOICES, regardless of her age! 🩵

So let me ask you something…

Are the choices you’re making TODAY creating the future you actually WANT? 🤔

🍑 FRIDAY'S PEACH & PIT 💔

Two very different moments. One very emotional week. ❤️

This week was such a reminder of just how precious, unpredictable, and beautiful life really is.

💔 MY PIT THIS WEEK…

Attending the very sad funeral of two dear friends in our condo community.

A husband and wife who passed away just five days apart. He went first, and five days later, she followed. It truly felt as though she died of a broken heart. 💔

It's heartbreaking to think of two lives ending so close together, and yet there's something incredibly touching about a love and a bond that deep.

It was a sobering reminder that tomorrow is never promised, no matter how many plans we make.

🧁💜 MY PEACH THIS WEEK…

On the other end of life's emotional spectrum, I was in my kitchen making homemade PURPLE cupcakes for my granddaughter's birthday celebration! 💜🎂

And the excitement on her face because she got to ride a HORSE today was absolutely priceless! 🐴🥰

The innocence, the joy, the pure excitement over something so simple. Those are the moments that fill an Oma's heart. ❤️

🌷 AND HERE'S WHAT STRUCK ME ABOUT THIS WEEK…

Two completely different experiences.

One filled with tears of sadness. 💔

The other filled with squeals of excitement and birthday joy. 💜

One reminding me how quickly life can end.

The other reminding me how wonderfully life begins and unfolds.

And somewhere between a funeral and purple cupcakes, I was reminded of something I believe more strongly with every passing year…

❤️ LIFE ISN'T SOMETHING WE SHOULD KEEP PUTTING OFF UNTIL SOMEDAY.

Love your people.
Celebrate the birthdays.
Make the cupcakes.
Take the pictures.
Enjoy the little things.

Because at the end of the day, it's not how many years we have that matters most.

It's how much LIFE we put into those years. ❤️

🚗 “WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE GET INTO A STRANGER’S CAR?” 😂

Think about that for a minute!

When Uber first came along, the idea of getting into a complete stranger’s car, arranged through your phone, sounded absolutely ridiculous to a lot of people!

And yet, look at Uber today! 🌎

Sometimes an idea isn’t crazy. It’s just unfamiliar.

And that got me thinking about my own journey.

Seven years ago, at 65, I decided to start an online business.

Now imagine some of the reactions! 😂

💬 “You’re starting a business at YOUR age?”

💬 “How can you possibly make money online?”

💬 “Is that even a real business?”

💬 “What do you know about technology?”

Well, truthfully, not nearly enough at the time! 😂

But here’s what I DID know.

After spending years running a traditional brick-and-mortar business, working ridiculous hours, managing employees, inventory, overhead and all the responsibilities that came with it, I knew I didn’t want to go back to that life.

I wanted something different.

Something I could build around my life instead of building my life around a business.

And I was willing to learn.

Was I successful overnight? Absolutely NOT!

There were things I didn’t understand, mistakes I made, frustrations, moments of doubt and plenty of times I wondered if I would ever figure it all out.

And guess what?

Seven years later, I’m STILL learning!

But here’s something social media doesn’t show us nearly enough.

We see the success stories, the travel, the celebrations and the big announcements.

We rarely see the months and years of learning, the setbacks, the consistency and the determination that came BEFORE those moments.

We’ve somehow been led to believe that if something doesn’t happen quickly, it must not be working.

And I think that’s where so many people get it wrong.

Imagine walking away from something that could genuinely change the direction of your life simply because it was taking longer than you expected.

I’m so grateful I didn’t.

Today, I have a business that gives me flexibility, purpose, wonderful friendships around the world and the opportunity to mentor other women who are ready to create something of their own. 💙

And the best part?

I didn’t have to throw away decades of life and business experience to begin again.

I got to BUILD ON IT!

That’s what I want women to understand.

Whether you’re 45, 55, 65 or beyond, you already bring so much to the table.

But your experience doesn’t mean you’ll automatically know how to do something new.

You still have to become a beginner.

You still have to learn.

And you have to give yourself enough time to become GOOD at it.

✨ Uber didn’t become Uber overnight. And I certainly didn’t build my business overnight either.

Different businesses. Different journeys. Same valuable lesson.

Just because people don’t understand what you’re building today doesn’t mean it isn’t worth building.

And just because you haven’t achieved what you want YET doesn’t mean you won’t.

💙 So here’s my question for you…

How many opportunities have we walked away from simply because they weren’t changing our lives quickly enough?

Maybe the answer isn’t to start over again.

Maybe it’s to keep going long enough to discover what you’re truly capable of.

💙 Our experience is our advantage. Our willingness to keep learning is what opens the next door.

One of the beautiful things about building my online business has been the friendships I’ve made with incredible women around the world! ❤️

Think about it…

💙 We’ve built careers.
💙 We’ve raised families.
💙 We’ve managed businesses and people.
💙 We’ve solved problems and navigated challenges.
💙 We’ve adapted to change and reinvented ourselves more than once!

And somehow, we’re supposed to believe that all those years of experience have an expiry date?

Ladies, we are sitting on a GOLDMINE of knowledge, skills, wisdom and experience that took us YEARS to develop!
