BRINGING HOPE AND SMILES TO THESE CHILDREN.

Looking into the eyes of these beautiful children at the Asel Orphanage was a moment of pure joy, but it also deeply touched my heart. Seeing their strength and their bright smiles in the middle of such difficult surroundings reminds me why we do this work. They are the heart of this community, and they truly deserve a better, more secure future.
We can all make a difference in their lives, and they honestly need all of us to stand by them. May God provide for their needs and guide our steps as we work to bring real, lasting comfort to their daily lives.

Dans un monde souvent divisé par les mots et les idéologies, la musique offre une voie de communication directe et émotionnelle. Comme l'a si bien exprimé Henry David Thoreau, "Dans un univers de paix et d'amour, la musique serait le langage universel." Elle permet aux individus de se connecter à un niveau plus profond, de partager des émotions et de construire des compréhensions mutuelles, même en l'absence de langage commun. C'est cette capacité à créer un terrain d'entente qui en fait un puissant vecteur d'inclusion et de dialogue. We are deeply grieving the loss of so many innocent lives here in Bukavu and Goma and through the Eastern DRC due to the Rebel invasion. The victims of violence and massacre are of all ages including youth and children. This is breaking our hearts to the core as we have been working tirelessly to support, care for, educate and inspire the community, especially children and youth through music towards, peace, justice and equity. Please pray for our nation and our leadership to find just ways to restore peace. Due to the constant and determined violence, we are unable to safely run our programs for the children. We know that when peace is restored we want to be ready to offer programing again for the community to process their grief and begin to heal from this horrible and deep trauma. We know that music is one of the best ways to heal and bring the community back together. We hope you will support us when that time comes. We want to see joy on our students faces again, knowing they are safe in our care. 🙏🎶❤️🙏 We miss connecting with our Canadian friends online and making music together!
