Be-rich "The Driver's Teacher"

31/01/2025

Welcome back from the long break of our "Virtual Lecture Hall" (VLH)

Today's Topic:
ROAD SURFACE MARKINGS

Road markings play an integral role in road safety management. They caution, guide, inform and regulate without diverting a Driver's attention.

Roads that are marked promotes discipline and safety than those that are not marked.

Despite the unique advantages of none-mechanical road markings (paint works), road markings are obliterated by:
- Rain
- Sand and
- Heavy vehicular traffic

You are welcome back to the Virtual Lecture Hall.

Today's Topic:
THE FIVE NATURAL FORCES IN DRIVING

Introduction
The five natural forces that affects vehicle control are:
- Gravitational force
- Energy of motion
- Frictional force
- Force of inertia
- Centripetal force

These natural forces are always at work when ever you drive. Each of these forces affects specific driving situations (hills, curves and stopping.

I would be discussing each of these forces in detail with you in our next lesson.
