🇺🇸 To My Beloved America 🇺🇸
From the heart of Congo, I journeyed with dreams,
Across oceans wide, chasing bright beams.
In your arms, America, I found my place,
A land of new hope, of mercy and grace.
You opened your gates with stars in your skies,
I came with prayers, with tears in my eyes.
Through valleys of struggle, I stood and I grew,
In freedom’s embrace, I found purpose anew.
O land of courage, of voices so strong,
May unity guide you and heal what’s gone wrong.
Let love be the anthem that echoes each day,
Let peace light the path, let grace lead the way.
For I’ve seen your beauty beyond all debate,
But I also pray for your soul, O great state.
May justice be blind, but compassion see clear,
And kindness arise where there once was fear.
So today, I say Happy 4th of July,
With a hand on my heart, and a hope lifted high.
To all my fellow Americans, wherever you be,
May our hearts beat as one, in truth and in liberty.
Thank you, dear country, for giving me space,
To shine with my light, to run my own race.
You didn’t just host me — you helped me ignite,
Now I teach, I build, I speak life into night.
May your future be bright, united and free,
From sea to shining sea, in love's harmony.
