Let's be honest.
Commodity trading is going through difficult times. A few suppliers have the capacity to deliver large volumes, while many buyers still expect prices and terms that no longer reflect market reality.
The result? Very few deals get done.
Mills and refineries have strong demand and little reason to lower prices just to secure another contract. The market has changed.
Buyers need to adapt to today's conditions, or deals simply won't happen. As traders, our job is not only to connect buyers and sellers but also to help buyers understand the realities of the market.
Realistic expectations lead to successful transactions. Unrealistic ones mean everyone loses.
