WHO IS ISAAC NGONG K*M, AKA, THE NEHEMIAH OF BUM?
Isaac Ngong is a journalist, currently working with the Cameroon Radio and Television Corporation, CRTV, at the West Regional Station in Bafoussam, Cameroon. He has a rich working experience dating as far back as 2003 when he joined the Press and Current Affairs Club, PACAC, in the then GSS Fonfuka, today GBHS. Starting as a reporter, Isaac NGONG K*M grew into a news presenter and Editor in Chief of the News Club. Upon graduation in 2010, he launched into freelance reporting and served as a football commentator with Unity TV until 2017, when he obtained a Scholarship to go for formal training.
Isaac NGONG K*M was admitted into the Advanced School of Mass Communication, ASMAC, in 2017 and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication.
He has accumulated experience as a radio journalist with Triumph FM 90.0 between 2016 and 2017, Television talk show host on Canal 7 Harmony between 2017 and 2019. He joined Info TV in June 2019 with a Television talk show program, Sports Frenzy. He would later be given a full time role as News Reporter, News Anchor, Television Host for several Sports Events including the 2020 African Nations Football Championship, CHAN. From September 2021 to February 2022, NGONG K*M served briefly as News Anchor, Talk Show Host and Reporter at CAM 10 Television in Yaoundé, Cameroon, where he covered the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations played in January and February of 2022, before moving to the CRTV where he volunteered as a News Reporter, News Supervisor, and News Proofreader for two years.
He signed his real first professional contract on the 26th of June, 2024 as a Journalist, and was immediately posted to work at CRTV West Regional Station in Bafoussam, where he is currently serving, as a Radio News Anchor, Talk Show Host, and Audiovisual News Reporter.
Isaac NGONG K*M has also been in the Communication service of several humanitarian and development organizations like Unity Foundation Cameroon, the Bum Development Union YAOUNDE Branch (Public Relations Officer from 2012 to 2024), and the Bum Youths Cultural and Development Association, BYCUDA (National Public Relations Officer since 2021, President of BYCUDA YAOUNDE Branch since 2024 till date).
He served as BDU National Publicity Secretary, from May to December 2024, before resigning from the role, following what he described as 'institutional inconsistencies' at the leadership apparatus of the Union at the time.
Isaac NGONG K*M is also an Evangelist and has served as President of the Christ Embassy Obili Men's Fellowship in YAOUNDE from 2019 to 2023.
He is currently a Church Leader in Christ Embassy Tamdja - Bafoussam.
He is kind, loving, passionate and God-fearing, with a heart for humanity.
He has been serving Unity Foundation Cameroon as the Deputy Director of Communication, since 2016.
Over the years, Mr. NGONG K*M, has honed his leadership skills reading widely on the subject, listening and watching messages on leadership on YouTube and other platforms, to perfect his art of leadership, guided by the principle that whatever needs to be done, needs to be done with excellence. He is a Servant-Leader, always ready to lead by example!
He is the Founder of the Nehemiah Revolution in Bum, an organization focused on Community Development through Self Reliance, which he passionately champions crisscrossing towns and cities of Cameroon, and reaching out to Bum communities abroad, to share his passion for a new Bum.
Having baptised himself, "The Nehemiah of Bum", Isaac Ngong K*m, is looking forward to taking over the leadership mantle of the Bum Development Union, BDU, in the April 2026 General Elections, with a sharp focus on building Institutional Organigramme that can effectively regulate the leadership of the Union, reconcile the Bum people, and birth thousands of BDU Cells and Branches in Cameroon and abroad.
He is also focused on bringing together Village Development Associations and BDU Branches together to come out with Annual Development Projects and Effective Budgeting.
He is pledging Accountability and Transparency in the management of the Union's finances, a clear plan for the celebration of the Tukubum Cultural Festival in a rotary system to magnify the rich cultural heritage of the Bum people and help promote internal tourism.
He is advocating for friendship and love among Bum people, through exchange visits between BDU Branches, Sports tournaments, and One Congress every year.
He is pushing for Leadership training across all Development Associations and Branches, built on Integrity, Empathy and Collaboration.
Isaac Ngong K*m believes that everyone born and bred in Bum, irrespective of their religion, belief system, clan, village or family have human dignity and should be listened to.
He advocates for Self Reliance Development, urging every viable Bum son or daughter to set aside a minimum of 10000frs every year for sustainable growth and development across Bum.
Isaac is also keen on the Socio-Economic welfare of Members of the BDU. Every Active Member should either be helped to secure gainful employment or engage in an entrepreneurial venture, with the support of the Union. He is also pushing for Special Birthday Celebrations of all members with a financial token, where each Member is expected to wish their Brother or Sister a Happy Birthday by dropping a minimum of 100frs into their Mobile Money Account!
Time and space will fail me to elucidate on all. But trust me, the time for change is Bum has come! Let's do this together, each one of us proudly calling ourselves, a Nehemiah of Bum!
