The World Bank Group is launching a video challenge for young people in fragile and conflict-affected settings. In just 60 seconds, tell us:
✨ What are your job aspirations?
✨ What does dignified work look like where you live?
✨ What needs to change to make it possible?

You don’t need fancy equipment, just grab your phone and record in any language, from anywhere.

The best videos will be shown at the opening plenary of the Fragility Forum 2026, and selected participants will get to ask a question LIVE.

✏️ Short Story Prize for Black and African Writers📖

Afritondo are now accepting submissions for the Afritondo Short Story Prize 2026. The theme of this year's prize is "Transition."

The prize is open to all writers of Black or African heritage. Submissions are free to make and must be between 3,000 and 5,000 words in English. The overall winner will receive $1,000 and four finalists will receive $100 each.
