RIVER NLOA; Enjoy the beauty of nature.
This is the Nloa Waterfall on River Nloa.
River Nloa is found in Mungo Ndor, Nguti subdivision, Kupe Muanenguba Division of the southwest region of Cameroon.
This river jointly takes its rise on the slopes of the Rumpi Highland sharing the same birthplace with river Mungo. While rive Mungo flows eastward, river Nloa flows westward and it is one of the sources(confluences) making up the cross river.
The Nloa waterfall is a huge source of hydropower and can generate a huge quantity of electricity which can light up the entire Meme, kupe Muanenguba, Manyu, and Lebialem divisions and why not part of the Cross River State in the Federal Republic of Nigeria if harnessed.
The volume of water you see here is at the heart of the dry season when many of its tributary rivers have either dried up or reduced in volume due to the effect of the dry season.
River Nloa is the pride of the natives of Mungo Ndor in particular and the entire Bassosi tribe in general.
It is rich in aquatic life with a variety of fishes, mollusks, crocodiles, alligators, and hippopotamuses with very deep cantons that serve as a habitat for these aquatic creatures. It is a good source of silicon dioxide( sand) which is a principal element in building and construction.
Worth noting is that the Nloa River has two waterfalls. The one you see in the video is located on the upper course of the river after the confluence with river Ô kula in New konye.
Compared with other waterfalls in the country with less hydraulic potential and on which huge state investment is concentrated, the Nloa waterfalls have a huge potential for the generation of hydroelectricity if harnessed.
