Энэхүү нэг өдрийн сургалт нь Монгол Улсын худалдаа, тээврийн зардлыг шинжлэх, шинжилгээний үр дүнг коридорын гүйцэтгэлийг сайжруулах, худалдааг хөнгөвчлөх, үндэсний өрсөлдөх чадварыг дээшлүүлэх практик бодлогын зөвлөмж болгон хувиргах байгууллагын чадавхыг бэхжүүлэхэд чиглэсэн.

Техникийн хуралдаануудыг Тайландын Таммасатын Их Сургуулийн Бизнесийн Сургуулийн профессор, доктор Рут Баномьонг удирдан явуулсан. Тэрээр 2025 оны 12 дугаар сард Улаанбаатар хотод болсон худалдаа, тээврийн өртгийн асуудлаарх үндэсний сургалт, мөн энэ оны 5 дугаар сард Кени Улсын нийслэл Найроби хотод болсон ДГХБО-ын нэгдсэн сургалтын үеэр TCDM/BPI аргачлалаа танилцуулсан бөгөөд энэ нь оролцогчдын сонирхлыг ихээхэн татаж, үр дүнтэй арга хэмжээ болсон юм. Тэрээр салбарын төрийн албан хаагчид, судлаачид, экспертүүдэд худалдаа, тээвэр, логистикийн зардлыг тооцох аргачлалыг дахин дэлгэрэнгүй танилцуулж байгаа болно.

INTERNATIONAL THINK TANK FOR LLDCs CO-HOSTS NATIONAL TRADE AND TRANSPORT COST ANALYTICS LAB

Ulaanbaatar, 31 July 2026 – The International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC) co-organized the "National Trade and Transport Cost Analytics Lab: From Measurement to Policy Prioritisation" with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and European Union Delegation on Friday, 31 July 2026, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The one-day workshop aims to strengthen Mongolia's institutional capacity to analyse trade and transport costs and translate analytical findings into practical policy recommendations for improving corridor performance, trade facilitation, and national competitiveness.

The programme opened with remarks from Amb. Enkhbold Vorshilov (PhD), LLDC Focal Point at Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Christophe Forax, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Mongolia.

The technical sessions were facilitated by Prof. Dr. Ruth Banomyong of the Thammasat University Business School of Thailand, who previously introduced the TCDM/BPI methodology at Mongolia's national training on trade and transport costs in Ulaanbaatar on December 2025, and at UNCTAD's consolidated training on the Awaza Programme of Action in Nairobi, Kenya this past May — both of which generated strong participant interest and produced concrete results. He has been invited back to give government officials, researchers, and experts a more in-depth walkthrough of the trade, transport, and logistics cost methodology and to address participants' specific questions directly.

Across six working sessions, participants have built a validated National Trade & Transport Cost Dashboard, diagnose corridor performance, identify the root causes of bottlenecks, and prioritise policy interventions, culminating in a Mongolia Trade & Transport Cost Analytics Roadmap for 2026–2027.

ITTLLDC and UNICEF Mongolia Explore Partnership on Youth Engagement and Sustainable Development

On 22 July 2026, Mr. Dulguun Damdin-Od, Executive Director of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC), met with Ms. Beate Dastel, Representative of UNICEF Mongolia, to discuss opportunities for collaboration on youth engagement and sustainable development in Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs).

During the meeting, Mr. Dulguun introduced the mandate and research work of ITTLLDC, as well as the Awaza Programme of Action for LLDCs (2024–2034). He also presented the newly established National Youth Advisory Board of Mongolia (NYAB-Mongolia) and explored opportunities to strengthen youth participation in research, policy dialogue, and capacity-building through collaboration with UNICEF.

ITTLLDC Strengthens Cooperation with Tajikistan to Advance Sustainable Development for LLDCs

On 22 July 2026, Mr. Dulguun Damdin-Od, Executive Director of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC), held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Khayrullo Ibodxoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Mongolia, and Mr. Sherali Jonon, Head of the Department of Asia-Pacific Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, to discuss expanding cooperation in support of sustainable development priorities for Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs).

The discussions, which took place against the backdrop of the successful state visit of Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon to Mongolia (20–22 July 2026), focused on deepening cooperation between ITTLLDC and Tajikistan. As a fellow landlocked developing country and member state of the ITTLLDC, Tajikistan plays an important role in advancing regional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and evidence-based policymaking under the Awaza Programme of Action for LLDCs (2024–2034).

Key Discussion Highlights:
• Critical Minerals Cooperation: ITTLLDC presented its Asian LLDC Critical Minerals Outlook and discussed sharing the report with Tajikistan to support national policy and sustainable critical minerals development.
• Advancing Aviation Connectivity: The parties exchanged views on the ICAO LLDCs Aviation Needs Analysis, aimed at addressing air connectivity challenges faced by landlocked developing countries.
• Economic Corridor Research: ITTLLDC introduced a proposed joint research initiative with IDE-JETRO on economic corridors and explored opportunities for Tajikistan's participation.
• Empowering Young Leaders: Discussions covered the establishment of a Youth Advisory Board in Tajikistan and strengthening collaboration with youth organizations and research institutes.
• Ministerial Cooperation: ITTLLDC shared the draft Ministerial Communiqué for the upcoming LLDC Ministerial Meeting on the sidelines of COP17 in Ulaanbaatar.
