On 22 April 2026, we reached an important milestone with the commissioning of the Voundou solar mini-grid in Mbangassina, Mbam-et-Kim, officially carried out by the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy (MINEE) represented by the Director of Renewable Energy and Energy Management, Mr. Valérie Nkué.

This marks a significant step for us at REI Cameroon and a concrete beginning for expanding decentralized energy access in underserved communities. Designed, financed, and operated by our team, this 100 kWp system is now supplying electricity to households, businesses, and institutions, supporting local economic activity and improving daily living conditions.

Voundou is not an isolated achievement. It sets the foundation for a broader rollout of mini-grids across several localities in the coming years, aligned with national electrification efforts.

Nous sommes heureux d'annoncer l'achèvement d'un projet pilote d'énergie solaire hybride à Douala pour 𝐆𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐂𝐀𝐌, 𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐮 𝐛𝐨𝐢𝐬 qui s'engage à améliorer son efficacité énergétique et à réduire son impact environnemental.

Avec des besoins énergétiques élevés et constants, GRUMCAM prend des mesures concrètes pour obtenir une énergie plus propre et plus fiable. Ce système pilote a été mis en place principalement pour𝐫é𝐝𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐮 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 é𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞 et aider à 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫ô𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨û𝐭𝐬 é𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠é𝐭𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 à 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞, tout en s'intégrant harmonieusement dans les infrastructures existantes.

Ce projet reflète notre engagement envers des 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 é𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠é𝐭𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 qui permettent de maintenir le flux de travail et de réduire les coûts dans le secteur industriel camerounais.
