It was a pleasure to welcome Professor Tebogo Phetla Mashifana from UNISA to our Innovation Center this week!
Prof. Mashifana is a leading authority on the Circular Economy, and her expertise is incredibly relevant to our current focus. As China actively drives its national strategy toward a circular economic model, prioritizing waste reduction and resource regeneration, we are thrilled to have a global expert here to share insights and explore synergies.

🦾 Meet Josué Abad – mechatronics engineer pushing the frontiers of assistive robotics.
A UTEC graduate with expertise in exoskeletons, humanoid robots, AI, and rehabilitation technology, Josue Abad Chate brings together mechanical design, electronics, control systems, 3D printing, and neural networks to create smarter, more human-centered devices.
Currently a researcher at NONHUMAN Robotics and now part of Keqiao International Park, he is working under Dr. Engr. Azim UDDIN's laboratory on advanced materials and additive manufacturing for prostheses, wearable robotics, and exoskeletons, with a focus on making them lighter, stronger, and tailored to individual users.

our team had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the "Zongzi Fragrance Gathering Talents" Dragon Boat Festival event in Keqiao, Shaoxing. 🇨🇳
Organized by the Zhejiang (Shaoxing) Foreign High-Level Talent Innovation Center, the event brought together over 20 talented professionals for an immersive cultural experience. It was a fantastic blend of tradition and connection, featuring:

Together with Prof. Giancarlo Ruocco and his team Maryam Ghoreishi and Maurizio Gargano from Italy, we officially launched the clinical trials at Shaoxing People’s Hospital.
The Alzheimer’s equipment has now arrived from Italy, marking a significant step forward in this important initiative. During the visit, we also held a productive working meeting to discuss the ongoing project and next steps.

✅ Wrapping Up the 3rd Young PhD Talent Acceleration Camp 2026 – A Great Success!

Keqiao International Park successfully concluded the 3rd Young PhD Talent Acceleration Camp 2026 – a transformative experience that continues to empower the next generation of scientific and technological leaders.
Since 2024, our camp has helped young PhD talents launch their own startups and turn academic research into real-world impact.
🏆 Success Stories:
For this year, more than 30 applications were received, and from them,8 amazing projects were selected to pitch in front of industrialists and experts. We want to thank those three amazing projects that were awarded the Excellence Award for their outstanding work Shareen Shafique , Sohail YASIN , Prof Linda Linganiso which included a cash prize and the opportunity to participate in the Keqiao Talent Program — enabling them to avail government funding for their startups.

🌳 It's not every day that a visionary leader takes a walk through the park — and leaves with seeds of global collaboration.
We were honored to welcome Merouane Kadri, Founder & CEO of Cambridge BraineX, who visited the park to meet Mr. Jianping Zhang the Director of the park, and connect with young talents from around the world. 🌍
During his visit, Mr. Merouane explored potential collaboration projects at the intersection of neuroscience, AI, and innovation and met bright, ambitious minds from diverse backgrounds. The energy was inspiring, and the conversations were filled with ideas that could shape the future of neurotechnology.
