Rabies remains one of the most lethal zoonoses, but it is also a disease that is 100% preventable through vaccination. 💉🐶
It is mainly transmitted through the bite of infected animals, with dogs being the primary reservoir in many regions. That is why mass vaccination is key to breaking the transmission cycle and preventing cases in both animals and people.
Vaccination campaigns, together with epidemiological surveillance and coordinated cross-sector work, are essential to advance toward the global goal of Zero Rabies by 2030, driven by the World Organisation for Animal Health, the World Health Organization, and their strategic partners. 🌎
At Biogénesis Bagó, we support these strategies through the development of vaccines of international quality, awareness campaigns, and collaborative actions that strengthen the prevention and control of the disease.
