I’m guiding a group of international visitors through a NIO House today.
We took a closer look at their battery swap setup: around 3 minutes to swap a full battery while you stay in the car.
What caught most of them off guard is the scale — over 4,000 swap stations across China, including along the G318 route all the way to Tingri near Everest.
We also talked about BaaS, the battery rental model that brings down the upfront cost of EV ownership.

I wandered around Shanghai’s only JD Mall on my free day, a perfect spot for gadget lovers.
China’s technology keeps evolving constantly, and it’s becoming far more fun for daily use.
I tried Huawei phones with AI selfie pose suggestions, powerful ultra zoom lenses and foldable screens.
Right next door, I tested Vivo’s detachable phone camera lens. The picture quality is fantastic, though it’s a little inconvenient to carry.
Down the hallway sit featherlight 3D printed sneakers and sculptures, with 3D printers running live in front of visitors.
I headed to the gaming area to try custom keyboards and complete PC gaming setups.
The AI eye-test smart TV surprised me the most — you can check your eyesight directly and get a detailed score right away.
Nearly all these gadgets are created to make ordinary life easier and more pleasant.

One of the best things to do in Shanghai: wearing Hanfu!
I got full traditional makeup & elegant hairstyle, then wandered around Yu Garden in Hanfu.
Ancient pavilions, quiet courtyards…It really feels like travelling back to old times.
I’m totally captivated by the grace and profound history of traditional Chinese culture.

Located in Bailian ZX on Nanjing East Road, this Bandai store has a cozy atmosphere. It collects figures of Gundam, Ultraman, Dragon Ball and other popular IPs with plenty of exclusive offline items. It has toys for beginners and high-end collectibles, as well as Ichiban Kuji and gashapons. It is a nice casual spot for anime and figure lovers.

I stopped by the Bilibili × Hatsune Miku SPARK exhibition here in Shanghai Joy City.
Many people who are new to fandom may wonder who Hatsune Miku is. She is not a real singer, but a virtual vocalist produced by Crypton. She sings with synthesized voicebanks, and she is also one of the most iconic virtual idols.
This pop-up gathers all Piapro characters, including Miku, Kagamine Rin and Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO and MEIKO. Designed with fresh band-style scenes, the whole place feels warm and relaxing.
You can take photos, listen to original character voices and collect exclusive stamps here to experience the charm of virtual singers.
There are official merch and fandom collections as well. It’s almost impossible for Miku fans to leave empty-handed.
