When my 2 worlds meet! ...

Exactly 2 weeks ago, I finally met again my client, 饶总, founder & CEO of a very large Chinese retail group, whom I have accompanied for many years as a consultant for training, transformation and strategy.

A fan of meditation, he learns here to use a singing bowl from Nepal and sold at my little INDIGO by ABBÉ ROADS shop.

Note that he is wearing jeans and an indigo blue (!!!) t-shirt made from recycled plastic bottles.

A boss who has always been really benevolent, paternalistic and very curious.

Wonderful and touching welcome to Hangzhou after 4 very long years🙏

Quand on t'apporte sur un plateau ce dont tu as toujours rêvé...🙏🙏🙏

➡️Coacher une personne évoluant déjà dans l'environnement chinois depuis plusieurs années pour leader une équipe, etc. , en apportant une plus-value "terrain".

Une vraie combinaison de ma triple compétence:
1️⃣mon expérience sur le terrain pendant plus de 20 ans dont 9 pour des groupes chinois
2️⃣de l'enseignement des fondamentaux de la culture chinoise
3️⃣de mon expérience de coach

[A few days ago I was approached not for a specific mission but "only" for my profile ...]

I was asked to consider to support China operations of a big group in order to prepare chinese high potentials for international assignments. Me being based in Europe. Combining my experience as a consultant in Learning & Development together with my experience as a coach.

I was literally told that : my "profile was unique, that very few people have this expertise and experience. That my deep understanding of how things work in China and of both cultures was impressive and that I could be a bridge between the 2 continents from a Learning & Development perspective".

To be perfectly frank, I never thought I could use my extensive experience in China here in Europe...

2 years ago, when I chose to relocate to France, I had to start all over from scratch, no network, no confidence, discovering new business practices and trying to understand a totally new cultural environment. Completely lost & lonely.

I am so grateful 🙏when I receive this kind of feedback. Not from ego perspective but because now, I know I can be useful where I am and how I am🙂

Il a été annoncé aujourd'hui que Paris et Pékin ont signé pour 13,6 milliards d'euros d'accords, à l'occasion de la visite d'Emmanuel Macron en Chine cette semaine. Lors de cette visite d’État, les Chinois ont accueilli la délégation française dans une ambiance chaleureuse et amicale.
