Temperature uniformity and stability: Avoid interference from thermal stress: During photosynthetic cultivation, the lamp tube itself generates heat. Uneven or significant fluctuations in chamber temperature control may readily disrupt algal cell metabolism. Precise and uniform temperature regulation is essential for maintaining algal viability.
Oscillation-induced mass transfer efficiency: "Fair distribution" of nutrients and light: Static cultivation often leads to cell sedimentation, uneven nutrient gradients, and inconsistent light exposure. Moderate reciprocating or rotary oscillation ensures continuous rotation of algal cells, promoting thorough contact between the cells and both the light source and culture medium, thereby enhancing uniformity in population growth.
Low vibration and low noise: An "invisible requirement" for long-term operation: Algal cultivation often lasts for several days or even weeks. Excessive motor vibration or unstable operation not only interferes with cell adhesion or aggregation but may also affect the performance of other precision instruments within the same environment.

The CO₂ oscillating incubator is a precision laboratory instrument that integrates constant temperature cultivation, CO₂ concentration regulation, and dynamic oscillation. By simulating the physiological environment within organisms, it creates optimal dynamic growth conditions for cells—particularly pH-sensitive mammalian cells and aerobic microorganisms.

Recently, the artificial multi-enzyme complex design tool website developed by Associate Professor Ni Jun's team at STJU has been overwhelmed by global scholars.

The platform provides assembly solutions for any two enzymes within cells, with its core concept originating from their breakthrough research published in Cell.

From directed evolution of enzymes to AI-driven protein design, protein-related research has twice claimed Nobel Prizes in Chemistry (2018 and 2024). In this cutting-edge field, Ni Jun's team has dedicated nearly a decade of research.
