🌿 New Season Matcha 2026 – Now Opening for Early Sourcing

From a procurement perspective, the transition into a new harvest season is always a critical sourcing window for Matcha buyers.

Our 2026 Matcha batch is now approaching official release at the end of this month.

🍃 Why this sourcing window matters

In the global matcha supply chain, the new harvest period is the point where:
• Raw material quality is at its peak
• Color and umami profile are most stable
• Supply allocation is still flexible
• Early buyers can secure preferred specifications

Once the season enters full distribution, consistency and availability become more limited across grades and lots.

☕ Application-driven grading system

To support different formulation needs, our Matcha is structured into three procurement-ready grades:

🌿 Ceremonial Grade
For traditional preparation and high-end tea applications
→ Deep umami, smooth taste profile, refined aroma

🌿 Premium Grade
For modern beverage development and daily use products
→ Strong green color, balanced taste, good solubility in lattes

🌿 Culinary Grade
For food manufacturing applications
→ Stable color performance in baking, desserts, ice cream, and functional blends

🌍 Market insight from procurement side

Current sourcing trends show clear shifts toward:
• More stable year-round supply planning
• Higher focus on beverage formulation compatibility
• Demand for consistent color performance in milk systems
• Clean-label positioning in functional food categories

This makes early-season allocation increasingly important for product development cycles.

📦 Availability & sourcing support

The new 2026 harvest Matcha will be available for shipment at the end of this month.

We are currently supporting:
• Specification matching based on application
• Sample preparation for formulation testing
• Early allocation for stable supply planning

Procurement timing defines supply advantage. Specification defines product success.

Ingredient Insight #01 – Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

——Matching the right extract to the right application

A client once asked me:
“Can you recommend a Turmeric extract spec?”

Before replying, I checked one key point: what is the final product form?
Because Turmeric is not a one-standard ingredient.

1: For water-based products (drinks, shots, gummies):
We usually recommend Turmeric Extract 10–20% Curcuminoids

1) Water-compatible / better dispersibility
2) Balanced potency
3) Suitable for daily wellness formulations

So for Turmeric Extract, we need to use the water-soluble spec of 10–20% Curcuminoids.

2. For capsules or oil-based systems:
Curcumin 95% (USP Grade)

1) Oil-soluble
2) High potency
3) Premium anti-inflammatory positioning

But currently higher in cost

💡 Key point:
10–20% = water system
95% = oil system

The right choice depends on how the ingredient is delivered, not just its strength.

People often ask what my typical work week looks like.

Honestly… it’s not as busy as people imagine.

Sometimes I just drop by the factory,
stand there for a while, listening to the machines running.

Sometimes I go to the cultivation base,
checking how everything grows — slowly, quietly, as it should.

And the rest of the week?

Emails.
Orders.
Coffee ☕
More emails.
More orders.

That’s pretty much it.

Because when your technical team, production team, and quality team are all in sync,
things are supposed to run… quietly.

But here’s something I’ve noticed:

A lot of people think a “busy” supply chain means it’s working well.
In reality, the best ones are usually the least noisy.

No drama, no surprises — just consistency.

And in this industry, that’s actually the hardest part.

So I’m curious —
does your week feel “busy”… or actually under control?

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has a history of thousands of years,
yet in the global market, the ones holding the real influence are not necessarily in China.

Why is that?

In China, there are nearly 100,000 historically recorded formulas, and countless herbs whose efficacy has been verified over centuries. This should have been a massive “knowledge and resource goldmine.”

But the reality is—much of that value is being redefined.

Japan selectively extracted around 210 classical formulas from texts like Shang Han Lun and Jin Gui Yao Lue, developing what is now known as the Kampo medicine system. Through standardization, clinical validation, and industrial-scale production, these formulas were transformed into modern medicinal products.

Then, they presented them in a different language.

The result:
the same formulas,
expressed differently, now enter the global healthcare system.

The underlying truth, which few like to openly acknowledge, is:

1. China supplies the raw materials,
2. Japan defines the standards,
3. and Western markets build the brands.

And the profits often flow to the latter two.

So the real questions are not just whether TCM works, but:

1. Who defines what is “effective”?
2. Who sets the standards?
3. Who shapes the way the market understands these ingredients?

If you don’t control the standards, even abundant resources remain only upstream supply.

Yet, there is one thing that remains irreplaceable:
——Daodi (authentic origin) herbs.

Japan’s Kampo medicines have a core barrier they cannot replicate—the Daodi herbs.

This is precisely the unshakable confidence of Chinese medicinal herbs.
“As oranges grown south of the Huai River are sweet,
those grown to the north become bitter.”

The same plant, grown in different regions, can develop completely different chemical profiles, stability, and ultimately, efficacy. This is a difference that cannot be fully compensated by extraction techniques alone.

Thus, the future competition will not merely be about “who tells the better story,”

but rather:

1. Who controls the source of the raw materials,
2. Who establishes the standards,
3. And who communicates the value in a globally understood language.

At NovoHerb, this is exactly what we are doing:

1. Starting with authentic origin regions to secure the foundation of raw materials;
2. Applying standardized extraction to ensure consistent quality;
3. And using internationally recognized functional language to bring our products to the global market.

Because we know:

In the next stage, the real competitive edge will not belong to those who just “sell raw materials,”

but to those who control both resources and standards.

Because we believe:
The future of herbal medicine belongs to China.
