🚛 A European HGV fleet operator deployed iTrailer to support its Mercedes-Benz electric trucks with flexible charging during daily transport operations. By bringing mobile energy storage and DC fast charging closer to the vehicles, iTrailer provided an additional charging option beyond conventional fixed charging locations.
⚠ The Challenge
• Electric HGVs require high-power charging to support demanding transport operations

For electric HGVs, charging availability needs to better match the vehicle’s actual operating requirements, particularly when fixed charging coverage is still developing.

iTrailer provided a mobile charging resource that could be positioned according to the HGV’s operational needs. Rather than requiring the truck to return to a permanent charging station whenever additional energy was needed, charging capability could be brought closer to the vehicle. This approach adds charging flexibility to existing operations while complementing permanent charging infrastructure.
🔹 Key Features in This Case
iTrailer offers 100–400kWh configurable battery capacity and up to 180kW DC fast charging, providing scalable energy and charging power for different HGV requirements. It supports 200–1000V DC output and CCS1/CCS2 charging, enabling compatibility with different electric HGV configurations. The system can be deployed through towing or vehicle-mounted configurations, while IP54 system protection and IP67 battery protection support operation in outdoor environments.
