✈️ How will you get to your dream university in China? Let’s plan your journey! 🇨🇳

Most international students arrive by airplane — direct flights connect major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
If your hometown doesn’t have direct service, don’t worry — connecting flights are easy to book.

💡 Pro tip:
Before booking your ticket, check the nearest airport to your university.
For example, students heading to Suzhou University should fly into Shanghai, then take a bus or train to Suzhou.

🚗 Airport Pick-up:
Not all universities provide pick-up service!
Contact your school’s international office to confirm taxi fares or shuttle options in advance.

🚄 Traveling inside China:
Trains here are fast, clean, and reliable.
The famous high-speed trains (G, D, C) travel up to 350 km/h, connecting almost every major city.
Choose from second-class, first-class, or business-class seats — all comfortable and efficient.

✨ At Belt Road Study Hub, we help students plan every step of their journey — from landing in China to exploring it safely and smartly.

“Where will you live while studying in China?” 🏠

Finding the right accommodation is one of the biggest decisions for international students. Here’s what to expect 👇

💰 Dormitory ($)
Most universities provide dorms for foreign students — affordable and convenient! Rooms are usually single or double, with basic furniture, air-conditioning, internet, and even shared kitchens or laundry rooms.
➡️ Fees are paid by semester (non-refundable once paid).

🏘️ Apartments ($$)
If you prefer more privacy, furnished apartments near campus are a great option. Some universities also offer on-campus student apartments.

🏨 International Student Hotels ($$$)
Serviced apartments and 3-star hotels offer long-term stay packages — perfect for those who value comfort and service. (Book early before you arrive!)

✨ At Belt Road Study Hub, we help you find the best accommodation that fits your budget, lifestyle, and location — so you can focus on your study journey in China.

🩺 Studying in China for 6+ months? Insurance isn’t optional. It’s required.

Here’s the simple version 👇
Who needs it: All foreign students staying over 6 months (per China’s Ministry of Education).
Where to buy: From your home country or through your university at registration.
What schools often ask for: The International Students Overall Insurance Plan in China.

Example package (Ping An Life Insurance):

Premium: RMB 300 / semester

RMB 100,000 accidental death & disability

RMB 20,000 accidental injury medical

RMB 400,000 hospitalization cover

Short vs. long stays

< 6 months: consider Travel Insurance

> 6 months: Student Health or Emergency Insurance is the norm

Smart tips

Outpatient coverage = higher premium (FYI: basic in-person consults in China are often affordable).

Always read exclusions/limitations before you pay.

If your uni “recommends” a plan, confirm what’s covered and how to claim.

✨ Belt Road Study Hub helps you compare plans, understand exclusions, and purchase smoothly—so you can focus on learning, not paperwork.

“What happens if you need to pause your studies in China? Or worse — drop out?” 😧

Most students never think about this part... until it’s too late.

📚 About suspension (taking a break):

You can temporarily pause your studies, but only with official approval from your university.

The length and rules depend on each school.

During suspension, you cannot work, travel excessively, or break Chinese laws — doing so might cancel your right to return.

To resume, you must apply at least one month before your suspension ends and provide valid proof (especially medical certificates if you paused for health reasons).

🚫 About dropping out:
You could be required to withdraw if:
1️⃣ You fail to meet academic standards.
2️⃣ You don’t reapply after suspension expires.
3️⃣ You have serious illness or injury preventing study.
4️⃣ You disappear from classes for 2+ weeks.
5️⃣ You skip registration without reason.
6️⃣ Or you voluntarily apply to quit.

⚠️ Decisions are made by the university’s president and filed with provincial and national education authorities.

✨ At Belt Road Study Hub, we don’t just help you get into China’s universities — we help you stay, adapt, and succeed. Our team guides students through real-life challenges like deferrals, visa renewals, and academic adjustments.

“Studying in China — but can your family come with you?” ❤️

Many students are surprised by the rules 👇

👨‍👩‍👧 Family members can apply for an L visa through a Chinese embassy/consulate abroad, using the admission offer from your university.
📑 Extensions are possible inside China via the public security bureau — but only with updated paperwork from the school.
⚠️ They cannot stay longer than the validity of the student’s own residence permit.

✨ At Belt Road Study Hub, we help students not only secure admissions, but also plan for their families to join them confidently in China.

“Wait… Can I actually change my major once I’m already studying in China?” 🤔

The answer isn’t as simple as you might think 👇

🎓 Scholarship Students → must stick to the major listed in your admission notice. Changing requires a long approval chain: university → embassy → Ministry of Education.

💰 Self-Funded Students → can sometimes switch, but only under your university’s own regulations.

🚫 Not Allowed If:

You don’t meet the requirements for the new major.

Your program was restricted from the start.

You’ve already passed the time window to apply.

🏫 Transferring universities? Possible only in special cases like illness or serious difficulties. But if it’s been less than one semester or you’re facing expulsion, don’t expect approval.

✨ At Belt Road Study Hub, we help you understand what’s really possible, so you don’t waste time on impossible applications.

“Can I just get a part-time job in China to cover my tuition?”
👉 The quick answer: NO.

🚫 Chinese law forbids international students from formal employment.
🚫 Campus work-study? Extremely limited.
💰 Tuition? Paid once a year, not monthly.

Imagine showing up in China only to realize your budget doesn’t stretch. That’s the reality many unprepared students face.

At Belt Road Study Hub, we make sure this isn’t your story. From tuition planning to lifestyle budgeting, we prepare you for the real journey — not the fantasy version.

🎓 Can I apply for an MA in China without speaking Chinese?

Short answer: Yes—depending on your program.

Most universities teach in Chinese. If you don’t speak Chinese yet, you’ll typically do 1–2 years of language/preparatory study before your major.

1 year for Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Western Medicine, Economics, Management, Law.

2 years for Literature, History, Philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine/Herb Medicine.

Prefer English? Many schools run English-taught postgraduate & non-degree options—no Chinese prep required.

At Belt Road Study Hub, we help you compare tracks (Chinese-taught vs. English-taught), shortlist universities, and navigate paperwork step-by-step.
