What is the maximum temperature resistance of aerogel blanket?
Aerogel blanket is a composite of nano-scale aerogel particles and fibers, with extremely low thermal conductivity. Its thermal conductivity is generally between 0.015 and 0.025 W/(m·K), and has excellent thermal insulation performance.
At the same time, aerogel blanket also exhibits excellent high temperature tolerance. Depending on the material and application, the temperature tolerance of aerogel blanket will vary. Generally, aerogel blanket can withstand high temperatures of at least 400°C, during which time it can still maintain a certain degree of stability. Some special types of aerogel blanket can even withstand high temperatures of over 1000°C. For example, carbon aerogel can withstand temperatures of up to 2000°C in an inert and vacuum atmosphere, and its temperature resistance can even reach 3000°C after graphitization.
