One of the greatest joys of e-commerce is that work and life don’t have to be separated.
JM flew all the way from the Netherlands to China and visited Hangzhou and reached out to our Dutch colleague to arrange a visit. We spent the afternoon touring the CJ office, introducing him to his dedicated agent, and sharing how our team supports sellers behind the scenes.
After that, we escaped the city and headed into the tea mountains, enjoying breathtaking views, tasting fresh Longjing tea, and talking about business, culture, and life. The evening continued with a memorable dinner filled with great conversations and plenty of laughs.
What impressed me most was JM’s reaction. He told us the experience was far beyond his expectations and that he would gladly recommend his friends in the Netherlands to visit and see it for themselves.
Moments like this remind me why people love the e-commerce industry. It’s not just about products, orders, or revenue. It’s about connecting people from different countries, building real friendships, and creating opportunities to experience different cultures and ways of life.
Traveling while working. Building businesses while making friends. Experiencing a different life every year.
That’s one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
