Inspired by the conversations at the Sport Investment Forum (SIF) two weeks ago, we are publishing a new solution brief on organizational transformation for GCC sports entities.

One message came through the forum: Vision 2030 has positioned Saudi Arabia as a global sports center, and the next frontier is institutional readiness.

The Kingdom has built momentum through events, infrastructure, and investment. What is now becoming more visible is that long-term success in sport also depends on the strength of the institutions behind that momentum.

Global experience shows a consistent pattern of success of organizations that invested early in governance, talent development, operating models, and commercial sustainability have been better positioned to absorb growth, respond to pressure, and build lasting value.

With 2027 approaching and 2034 already shaping strategic choices, this is the moment for sports institutions to strengthen the foundations that will determine performance, partnerships, and long-term impact.

September was a month of creativity, connection, and cultural exchange for our Jordan team!

Together with the European Union in Jordan, EUNIC - EU National Institutes for Culture in Jordan, The Royal Film Commission Jordan - RFC, and our partners Cadena and IBF Expertise, we proudly curated the 37th European Film Festival in Jordan.
This year’s edition was nothing short of extraordinary!

From 13–30 September, audiences in Amman and across seven governorates enjoyed 22 European and Jordanian films, subtitled in both Arabic and English, alongside panel discussions, workshops, and cultural exchanges.

We’re proud to share some highlights:
5,500+ attendees in Amman
Screenings in governorates, reaching new communities
50+ workshop participants and 3 festive receptions

It was truly a celebration of culture, creativity, and connection through cinema.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this festival a success.

Our team is in Baghdad this week to launch our new partnership with the Ministry of Youth & Sports in Iraq and the World Bank — working together to invest in Mosul’s youth and the power of culture to drive resilience, livelihoods, and social healing. This is core to our Culture and Tourism Practice as it focuses on empowering young Iraqis to shape the future of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector.

Together with our local partner Mosul Space and the Ministry, we are:
- Enhancing employability through practical training and life skills development tailored to the needs of Mosul’s CCI ecosystem.
- Supporting micro-entrepreneurship with matching grants, business mentoring, and coaching to help youth launch and grow their own ventures.
- Reviving cultural identity and cohesion by engaging young people in designing community-driven cultural initiatives that honor Mosul’s heritage and promote social dialogue.

In a city rebuilding from conflict, this project is about more than economic opportunity — it’s about restoring confidence, identity, and agency to a generation that deserves every chance to thrive.

Mid-Year Reflections and Renewed Purpose

This weekend, the Beyond Group team gathered for our mid-year retreat. As part of our twice-yearly tradition, the retreat offered a valuable moment to reflect, reconnect, and realign around what matters most.

But this year, it was more than a pause. It was a deliberate act of strategic visioning, a space to ask bold questions about the future of consulting and our role within it.

Over two days of intense and energizing conversations, we:

* Reimagined our strategic direction and reaffirmed our values as a consulting community
* Reflected on the future of consulting amid technological acceleration and geopolitical volatility
* Refined our business and operating model to adapt with agility in a changing world
* Explored how to redefine meaningful value creation for our clients across sectors and geographies
* Identified new ways to grow our capabilities, evolve our services, and build meaningful impact
* Engaged in honest dialogue around culture, how we work together, learn together, and lead together

From AI disruption to the shifting needs of our clients, from internal feedback to market-facing strategy, the retreat helped us reconnect with why we do what we do, and how we can do it better.

We return to our work with renewed clarity, agility, and a shared commitment to meaningful consulting that meets the moment.

Introducing BG-Lb: Brain Gain Lebanon

Yesterday, during the Smart Government Conference, Beyond Group proudly announced, in partnership with Lebanese Executives Council - LEC, the BG-Lb Initiative: a digital platform designed to bridge the gap between Lebanon’s pressing public sector needs and the extraordinary capabilities of its global diaspora.

BG-Lb offers a structured, AI-powered matchmaking system that connects Lebanese professionals abroad with government institutions in need of expertise. This initiative is not just a tech solution; it is a strategic response to Lebanon’s capacity crisis, enabling ministries to define their reform challenges and receive targeted, pro bono support from qualified diaspora experts.

At a time when public institutions are under-resourced and reform is urgent, BG-Lb offers an immediate, no-cost mechanism to inject critical skills and experience into priority areas, from digital transformation to service delivery.

Why is this important? Because Lebanon's diaspora has long offered help, but lacked a channel to make it count. This platform makes it real, organized, and impact-driven.

We had the pleasure of joining the PowerX Summit 2025, hosted by Berytech , a vibrant gathering of innovators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs shaping the future of Lebanon’s economy.

Our Levant & North Africa Manager Marwa Abou Dayya took the stage to share insights on Lebanon’s evolving economic clusters, highlighting the structural barriers holding them back, the untapped opportunities they offer for inclusive growth, and what a realistic roadmap for cluster development could look like today.

From agro-food and creative industries to clean tech and digital innovation, cluster-based development holds powerful potential to drive regional growth, empower youth and women, and redefine local economic resilience. But making this a reality requires strategic coordination across government, the private sector, academia, and development partners.
