The German online magazine Bonedo tested the new Rogers Powertone snares and wrote in conclusion: "With its newly released Powertone snare drums, the manufacturer Rogers shows that the approach of drawing inspiration from the drum designs of the past can lead to thoroughly modern, fantastic-sounding results. The four test snares produce powerful, clean sounds, with the wood versions naturally having a slightly softer, more compact tone, while the steel models sound even livelier and more tonal."
