ACT welcomes vision string quartet

Since its founding in 2012, the vision string quartet has rapidly risen to the forefront of the international music scene. The four musicians seamlessly bridge genres—effortlessly navigating between the classical string quartet repertoire and their own compositions that draw inspiration from folk, pop, rock, funk, and minimal music. The vision string quartet will be part of the ACT label family as well as The ACT Agency (in DE/AT/CH in co-operation with Sudbrackmusik).

The musicians on the new collaboration: “We are thrilled that our new, long-awaited studio album In the Fields will be released on ACT at the end of January 2026. The album also marks the beginning of our collaboration with The ACT Agency on selected projects. In the Fields is dedicated to the tireless spirit of discovery that has brought us together in recent years with wonderful musicians. For us, ACT is the perfect home for precisely this kind of unheard, creative musical worlds.”

ACT CEO Andreas Brandis comments: My connection with the vision string quartet goes back many years, starting with the Concerto.21 masterclasses that I lead and extending to a close collaboration with their violinist Florian Willeitner. In the future, ACT will open up even more to connections between classical music, contemporary music, and improvisation — and the vision string quartet is a brilliant representative of all these worlds.

The vision string quartet is about to start an international tour, and we wish them the greatest success!
