20 Years Maybach Exelero - “Meet the Macher”
The story of the biggest marketing-stunt in automotive history. Told be the geniuses behind the design Mythos.
Carrying the name Maybach.
Developed by Mercedes-Benz for the tyre company Fulda.
Designed by a young student.
Handcrafted by a traditional Italian coach builder.
Braking the speed record with 352 km/h.
Driven by Jay-Z in his music video “Lost one”.
Stealing the show during Formula 1 race weekends.
Playing a main role in a “Alarm für Cobra 11” episode.
Turning out to be the biggest marketing coup ever.
We thought it was a good idea to bring the makers back together to tell the (untold) story about the Maybach Exelero. And there was no better place than the amazing National Automuseum. Thank you so much to Prof. Friedhelm Loh and his fantastic team who is running the now public collection with fascinating pieces of machinery that draws so many people together like with this event.
I am really grateful for so many guests who joined us while having an interesting conversation among the makers on stage.

Welcoming the new Mercedes-Benz GLC at BERESA

The local Mercedes-Benz dealership in Münster invited their customers and those who are on their way to become one for a nice brunch on a sunny Sunday morning. The stars on stage: two pre-production cars that give an outlook on what’s coming very soon.
Sales director Julian Mirek and me had a chat about the strategy behind the cars and the impressive technology which will be brought to the road in a few months time.
After unveiling the new GLC and the CLA Shooting Brake the conversation with lots of interested customers carried on. It was overwhelming to see how many had already ordered one being fully committed to a car they had not even seen. So much excitement and great energy in the room gives me a good feeling for what the future brings with the new generation of Mercedes-Benz cars.

June 2019: The Highlight of Endurance Racing - The 24 Hours Nuerburgring!
We were happy to be on the grid with a perfectly prepared Cayman by the highly professional and championship winning team Adrenalin-Motorsport. Most importantly with a great line up of internationally experienced teammates from Germany, UK and Norway.

9 weeks was the longest time we stayed in one place this year.
For the Mercedes-Benz Global Training Experience presenting upcoming Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG models to the sales force nationally and internationally. We welcomed around 15.000 participants from all parts of the world to explore around 350 pre production cars and get first hand information.

As strong as the new Mercedes-Benz EQC: Ralf Moeller was one of the brand ambassadors coming to Norway to get their first impression of the fully electric Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4Matic. Of course Ralf had test it to its limits. 😉 And did he love the power this car has!

We were delighted to be involved in the press world premiere of the fully electric Mercedes-Benz EQC taking place in Oslo, Norway. 🇳🇴
It was three weeks of exciting our guests with unbelievable AMG-like power as well as fascinating technology. And also a farewell and a very last handshake with Dr. Dieter Zetsche with the opportunity to thank this man for taking Mercedes-Benz to where they are today.

VLN race 3 Nurburgring:

What a race!! 🌧☀️🌧☀️🌧
Nurburgring at its best. Constant weather changes led to lots of action on and off the track involving 193 cars that were on the grid for the 4 hour race.
Great job by the team to setup a car that was perfectly progressive to drive. Werner Gusenbauer did the first stint and handed the car over to Robert Woodside in P4, coming from P6. Robert was able to keep the car on track through horrible conditions and hand it over to me in P4. Unfortunately I was the only one wanting to gamble and go out again on slick tyres so I was sent out again on rain tyres. To come right back in after my first lap and change to slick tyres. Fell down to P6, gave it all, managed to overtake the Black Falcon Porsche and closed the gap to the Porsche in P4. So P5 is the best result for the team with this car so far. Without the extra pit stop it would have been P3 or even P2 in the end. To see the positive: we know what we are capable of now. And I’ve had a great time in this wonderful car racing through the traffic in these tricky conditions! 🤩 📸
