When many of us first moved abroad, we were younger, hungry, ambitious and full of dreams.
We were ready to work hard and give everything.
Then we found that first job.
We worked the shifts.
We picked up overtime.
We paid the bills.
We sent money home.
We raised our children.
We bought things we had dreamed about.
And eventually, life became comfortable until one day, you look up and realiseโฆ
You're 45 or 50 or 55....
and suddenly you start asking yourself some uncomfortable questions.

You look back and see years of working.
Years of shifts.
Years of paying bills.
Years of supporting family.
But perhaps not as much savings as you had hoped.
Perhaps some relationships were neglected.
Perhaps some dreams were postponed.

and at 55, starting an entirely new career may feel like a huge mountain, yet retirement may still be years away.
And this is why we need to start thinking differently before we get to that point, by asking:

While you are still working, you can:
โก๏ธstart developing new digital skills
โก๏ธbuild an additional income stream in your own name
โก๏ธand over time, that income gave you more options?
Because none of us knows exactly what our 50s or 60s will look like, but we can start preparing for the choices we want to have.
