The global specialty chemicals market is projected to grow from around USD 285 billion to USD 365 billion by 2028, representing approximately 5% annual growth.
Behind this overall figure growth opportunities are emerging across areas such as:
→ Electronic chemicals & advanced materials
→ Water treatment & resource efficiency
→ Packaging & consumer applications
→ Automotive & construction
→ Textile chemicals & functional materials

Customers increasingly look for solutions combining functionality, sustainability, regulatory compliance and measurable economic value.
The opportunity is to understand challenges further down the value chain and translate technology into relevant solutions.
That is where innovation becomes business development.

Which specialty chemicals segment do you believe will create the biggest opportunities over the next five years?

Instead of using antimicrobial or biocidal technologies to prevent odor-causing microorganisms, a new fiber technology takes another route:
Capture the odor-causing compounds themselves.

The patented solution is non-biocidal and fragrance-free and is integrated directly into the fiber rather than applied as an additional surface treatment.

By Textile Intelligence , performance has been evaluated through analytical laboratory methods, but also through sensory and real-use testing to determine whether measurable results translate into a benefit consumers can actually experience.

This could become increasingly relevant as brands look for effective odor-management solutions while simultaneously considering regulatory requirements, durability, sustainability and consumer acceptance.

Whether during sports, commuting on a hot day or standing in front of an audience, visible perspiration can quickly become uncomfortable and affect how confident we feel.
This is where an interesting new generation of textile technologies comes into play.

Instead of simply transporting moisture away from the skin, new fiber solutions can reduce the visual appearance of sweat on the outside of the garment through optical effects engineered directly into the fiber.

The interesting part for is the combination of several benefits:
💧 Moisture management
🌬️ Breathability
👕 Reduced visibility of sweat marks
☀️ Potential additional UV protection depending on construction
🔄 Durable performance through repeated washing
♻️ Recycled polyester

This is a good example of where Intelligence we see innovation heading: technologies that combine sustainability, functionality and a real consumer benefit.

Especially in global supply chains, quality, compliance and ethical behaviour are closely connected.
Companies need transparency across complex supplier networks: identifying potential risks, assessing suppliers, monitoring quality and compliance, and establishing processes that allow corrective action before problems escalate.

What happens when quality, cost and delivery deadlines conflict? Can suppliers and employees openly raise concerns? Are decisions transparent? And is there a culture where identifying a problem is valued rather than discouraged?

If we cannot identify where a process or supplier relationship repeatedly creates friction, managing the associated risk becomes guesswork.
Effective supply chain management therefore connects the elements
Transparency → Responsibility → Action

An open culture and clear responsibilities determine whether organisations actually act on them.
Do you think ethical culture is a measurable part of supply chain assessment?

The fashion industry faces a major material transition challenge. Despite increasing pressure and brand commitments, less than 1% of global fiber consumption comes from textile-to-textile recycling. Textile Intelligence leads new cross-industry initiative, aims to accelerate the adoption of recycled and next-gen fibers by facilitating collective action and investment🤝

Textile Intelligence can introduce you bio-based Elastane alternative developed from sugarcane feedstock 🌿

As part of a broader shift away from fossil-based materials, the material is designed to match the performance of conventional elastane, maintaining durability, stretch, and recovery required for denim and other applications. The development reflects ongoing efforts to combine material innovation with scalable production systems.
