August is the month your solar installation works hardest. ☀️

Spain records some of Europe's highest solar irradiation levels in summer. The longest days and most extreme temperatures coincide with the year's peak energy demand: air conditioning, cooling, continuous production. A scenario where photovoltaic generation reaches its full potential.

Making the most of all that energy produced — and not just what's consumed in the moment — is where storage makes the difference. A battery stores the midday surplus to use in the afternoon and evening, reducing grid dependency precisely when electricity is most expensive.

Summer is the clearest proof of what a solar system with storage can do for your home or business.

Welcome to Iepurești, Romania. Developed by Nofar Energy with CJR Renewables as EPC contractor, this utility-scale solar project combines around 500,000 PV panels with 480 Sungrow SG350HX string inverters and 26 medium-voltage stations.

Our colleagues Catalin Manea and George Melnic take us on-site to share the story and technology behind the project. Catalin was also closely involved from Sungrow's commercial side, working alongside the wider team to support the project's development.
