Office snapshot: Say hello to Fabian, Hanna and Marsha. They recently joined the Intuity team.

Fabian loves to tinker. He recently joined the Smart Tools team as an intern for hardware software prototyping. He enjoys balancing his spare time between adventures in nature, such as cycling and hiking, and practical creativity, such as woodworking and DIY projects. Hanna is our new Service and UX design powerhouse. She is now part of the Digital Experiences team, focusing on designing tomorrow's products and services. When she's not in the lab, she loves to be creative in an analog way, for example, by sewing or baking. Marsha is an extraordinary UX and UI design talent. She started as an intern in the same team as Hanna. In her spare time, she enjoys going for long walks – preferably with her family's dogs – and drawing and painting.

We are very excited to have them with us! 🎉

Shaping the DKMS Deutschland digitization strategy with Jan Storz is truly unique. The DKMS core team around Jan spared no effort and put a lot of energy into this project. Together, we created a comprehensive overview of all department processes and the corresponding potential for innovation. It is a pleasure for us to work with DKMS, the leading organization for the matching and organization of bone marrow donations!

Where do innovative AI ideas flourish in Munich? 🌱

Our colleagues Tobias Schmücker and Lukas Siegele were invited as jury members at THE POOL HACKATHON hosted by the MUNICH INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM.

In addition to interesting discussions and new contacts, the presented project have been very inspiring:

- Imaging & LLM based funding matching for farmers (Congratulations to Nadja Gruhler, with Opterra who was awarded first place)

- Transparent value chain for the recycling of building materials

- LLM's assistant helping in-house company lawyers

Last week, Bernhard and Sandra opened the IDZ | Internationales Design Zentrum Berlin Members Circle, themed “Designing in an Evolving AI Landscape”, with a talk on AI and design principles. We are grateful for the opportunity and the invitation to contribute to such a fantastic evening!

The core points of the presentation were:
- Designers who embrace AI are likely to leave behind those who don’t
- AI is the end of static user interfaces
- AI should not only help to increase efficiency – it is a chance to rethink established processes in order to create value for people and our society

“Design acts as an enabler and communicator.” This central conclusion stems from the thesis of our bachelor student Nathan Miller. Over six months, he intensively investigated the potential of strategic product design in the capital goods industry.

In close cooperation with our long-standing client, the mechanical engineering company EMAG, Nathan developed an adaptive (hardware) design system that impressively reflects the company’s values, goals and identity. He wrote his thesis at Hochschule Pforzheim - Gestaltung, Technik, Wirtschaft und Recht. Prof. Thomas Gerlach and Roman Stefan Grasy, Unit Lead at Intuity Media Lab, supervised the process.

Last week Nathan presented his work at an internal Lab Talk and shared valuable insights. We congratulate him on his remarkable work and thank him for his valuable contribution!

Today, we discussed the future carbon market at the Festival der Zukunft with Stefan Ferber, CEO of TREEO, Kathrin McCarthy from INTERHOLCO AG, and Jörg Eigendorf from Deutsche Bank, under the moderation of Markus Turber from Intuity Media Lab.

The panel covered why we must act, the different perspectives on carbon removals, and the growing carbon market.
