IMPORTANT U.S. IMMIGRATION UPDATE 🇺🇸

A federal judge has struck down the Trump administration’s policy that suspended immigrant visa issuance for nationals of 75 countries.

The policy, which took effect in January 2026, had halted immigrant visa issuance for affected nationals based on concerns surrounding the “public charge” rule.

The court has now vacated the policy.

What does this mean?

People affected by the 75-country suspension should once again have their immigrant visa applications considered individually under existing U.S. immigration law.

This does NOT mean automatic visa approval. Applicants must still meet all eligibility, financial sponsorship, admissibility, and other immigration requirements.

The U.S. government also has the option to appeal the ruling, so further developments are expected.

If you or your family had an immigrant visa case affected by this suspension, now is a good time to review the status of your case and watch for instructions from the U.S. Embassy or Department of State.
