AquaCEAL Corporation Founder Lenin Cáceres-Farías, Ph.D. (St.) from the Doctoral Program in Aquaculture at the Universidad Catòlica de Valparaíso, will also develop his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Professor Walisson de Souza. AquaCEAL Corporation is proud to collaborate with El Grupo de Investigaciones en Biología y Cultivo de Moluscos (INBICUM-UTM) in order to achieve the diversification of Ecuadorian aquaculture.

We are proud of our Founders Cesar Lodeiros Seijo Ph. D for mentoring & Lenin Cáceres-Farias for having contributed to the development of the research carried out in the facilities and funded by the AquaCEAL Corporation family.

We congratulate our Co-Founder María Mercedes Espinoza-Vera for her dissertation on the quality of cultured pearls in Bahía de Caráquez, an activity that could open productive and touristic developments for Manabí and Ecuador; and finally our collaborator Evelyn Vélez for her dissertation on the cultivation of the Pacific oyster in a shrimp farm located in tributary canals of the Cojimíes estuary, Province of Manabí and Esmeraldas, Ecuador, which could provide extra production, as well as promoting eutrophic balance in shrimp farming.

El Grupo de Investigaciones en Biología y Cultivo de Moluscos (INBICUM-UTM) se complace anunciar la defensa exitosa de las primeras tesis de investigación de la Facultad de Acuicultura y Ciencias del Mar de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Cuatro nuevos ingenieros acuícolas para el desarrollo de la acuicultura: Elizabeth Ati y Yuber Añazco disertaron sobre la factibilidad biología del cultivo de Crassostrea sp., una especie de distribución local que podría revolucionar el cultivo de ostras en los trópicos; Mercedes Espinoza disertó sobre la calidad de perlas cultivadas en Bahía de Caráquez, una actividad que podría abrir desarrollos productivos y turísticos para Manabí y Ecuador; y finalmente Evelyn Vélez disertó sobre el cultivo de la ostra del Pacífico en una camaronera situada en caños tributarios del estuario de Cojimíes, provincia de Manabí y Esmeraldas, Ecuador, lo cual podría suponer una producción extra, además de promover el equilibrio eutrófico en el cultivo de camarón.
