Reporting line:
Group internal Audit Manager
Key Accountabilities
Audit Plans and Programs
• Evaluate the internal control design and operating effectiveness periodically as per the internal control review plan coordinated with the Internal Control Manager.
• Works independently and exercises judgement in formulating recommendations under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager.
• Responsible for the daily supervision of audit staff-members and responsible for the development of audit staff and the completion of performance evaluations.
• Conducts data extraction, analysis, and security reviews utilizing software tools.
Operational and Financial Audit
• Provides or assist a providing training, coaching and guidance to different departments for the internal control guidelines and policies to assure their buy in.
• Evaluating, analyzing and exploring areas for improvement and recommending & promoting solutions aligned with industry best practice.
• Ensure that the assets of the Group are safeguarded.
Computer Assisted Audit
Ability to extend the audit coverage to a wider and more representative population using computer based audit techniques.
Frauds , Misappropriations , etc
• Carries out fraud investigations and special assignments’ field work in accordance with the Group policies and professional IIA standards to identify loss / exposure , control weakness and recommendation to prevent reoccurrence
Education / Professional Experience
• BSc. In Finance and Business Admin. (accounting or auditing is also accepted.
• 6 -8 years of experience, preferable in audit firms.
• Knowledge of assurance in manufacturing businesses.
• Comprehension of the business processes of manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Knowledge of Accounting and Finance Principles and Practices
• Experience in industry auditing or accounting and in conducting audits in Information Systems and/or other areas pertinent to the industry.
• Experience with ERP environments.
• Exposure to system security packages
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
• Dynamic quality with an ability to motivate and coach others through change.
• Practical understanding of quality/continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
• Multitasking skill for planning & coordinating multiple assignments.
• Ability to work independently, plan, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
