With the purpose of making a positive impact to the society by raising the environmental awareness of the Giza systems team members and the bigger society about the importance of solid waste recycling , Giza Systems Education foundation team appointed Go Green and Zeroprime to install a reverse vending machine at their head office in New Cairo with the purpose of encouraging people to recycle their plastic bottles and cans. Contributors shall be rewarded by different means according to their contributions.

Leading enterprises lead by example. We are glad to install the first reverse vending machine in a power plant in Egypt.
The modern "New capital power plant" operated by Siemens S.A.E is the first power plant in Egypt to apply solid waste segregation for recycling from source. Key to the success of waste management in any establishment is "people awareness". By installing a "Canbank" machine, plant management is encouraging plant team and visitors to dispose of plastic bottles and cans safely by winning simple rewards such as mobile phone credit.
Go Green is handling the generated waste collection on a regular basis from the installed CanBank as part of the plant waste management service contract.

Recyclable solid waste is sorted, and transmitted to registered recycling facilities to get a second life.

في اخر كل سنة دراسية بيكون عندنا عدد مش قليل خالص من الورق والكتب الدراسية والملازم اللي مش محتاجينها ومبنلاقيلهاش مكان في البيت فبنضطر نرميهم.

مازلنا مستمرين فى تلقى طلباتكم لجمع الورق و الكتب المستعملة لإعادة التدوير . خلال الأسبوعين الأخيرين تلقينا عشرات من الطلبات و قمنا بتلبيتها.
متوسط الكمية للمنزل الواحد كان ٤٥ كيلو جرام.
أعلى رقم تم رفعه من منزل واحد كان ١٧٥ كيلو جرام بينما أقل رقم كان ١٥ كيلو جرام من منزل واحد.

We are still receiving requests for recycable paper pickup.
During the last two weeks, we received tens of requests for collection of old books and paper notebooks for recycling.
The average pickup was 45 kg per household. The highest record was 175 kg for a single household while the lowest was 15 kg per single household.
To book your pickup, Please register your details in the form mentioned in the comments.

كتير بنسمع مصطلح "التدوير الآمن" او "التخلص الآمن" للمخلفات القابلة لإعادة التدوير لكن عشان نفهم ايه هو الأمان فى عملية زى ديه محتاجين نشوف أمثلة لعدم الأمان فى تلك العملية.
على سبيل المثال: الصورة هنا بتبين ورق اجابة امتحانات طلبة و انتهى دوره. فالجهة التعليمية عشان تتخلص منه إما قامت بالقائه فى صناديق القمامة العادية أو باعته لأعلى سعر لشخص للأسف كان غير أمين فى التعامل مع المخلفات الورقية و غالبا ليس شركة معتمدة لأنه كان حريص على إغراء الجهة التعليمية بدفع أعلى سعر مقابل المخلفات.
هذا الشخص اشترى المخلفات الورقية و بدلا من إعادة تصنيع المادة إلى ورق من جديد ، قام بتحويل أوراق الإجابات إلى أكياس ورقية لتعبئة اللب و الفول السوداني حيث طبع غلاف متجر اللب على الناحية الغير مطبوعة و جعل الناحية المكتوبة فى الداخل.
بالطبع ما حدث هنا هو آخر شئ تود أى مؤسسة أن يُفعل بمخلفاتها.

الغرض من عرض هذا المثال هو لفت نظر متخذ القرار فى أى مؤسسة تتخلص من مخلفات صلبة إلى أن السعر ليس معيار التقييم الأساسى عند اختيار جهة تخلص آمن من المخلفات .
سنحاول فى مجموعة من المنشورات عرض أمثلة للتخلص غير الآمن للمخلفات و تأثيره على حياتنا.

We often hear the term "safe recycling" or "safe disposal" of recyclable waste, but in order to understand what is safety in such a process, we need to see examples of insecurity in that process.
For example: The picture here shows the answer sheets for students ’exams which served its purpose and no longer needed. The educational party to dispose has either dumped it in the ordinary garbage bins or sold it for the highest price to a person who unfortunately was not honest in dealing with paper waste and is often not an approved company because they were keen to entice the educational authority by offering the highest price for the waste.
This person bought the paper waste and instead of recycling the material into paper again, they turned the answer sheets into paper bags to pack snacks and peanuts where he printed the packaging of the store on the unprinted side and made the written side inside.

This is the last thing any organization would like to see its waste used for.

The purpose of presenting this example is to draw the attention of any decision-maker in any institution that disposes of solid waste to the fact that the price is not the primary evaluation criterion when choosing a safe disposal party.
In a set of posts, we will try to show examples of unsafe disposal of waste and its impact on our lives.
