Egypt's New Administrative Capital Will See the Opening of an IHG Hotel 🏨🇪🇬

IHG Hotels & Resorts have partnered with Samco Holding to introduce the Holiday Inn Express brand to Egypt according to Ghantous (2025, July). This marks Holiday Inn Express's brand launch in Egypt. Samco Holding will lead the development of the hotel in Egypt's New Administrative Capital, which is scheduled to open in 2030. 📆

Additionally, the hotel will include 125 rooms, with amenities that will appeal to both leisure and business travellers. This will be accomplished by blending modern, business, and leisure elements.

The Holiday Inn Express brand debut marks a crucial step in IHG's plans to open 21 additional hotels in Egypt within the near future. This aligns with Egypt’s long term hospitality and tourism goals. 🌍

ADD Developments and Hyatt Hotels Reach Agreement for Hotel Expansion 🏨📈

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and ADD Developments have signed an MoU to increase hotel and residential investments in Egypt, according to Daily News Egypt (2025, June). This strategy is supported by an investment plan of $265 million, which is designed to finance the development of new hotel rooms and branded residential units.

Additionally, the agreement was signed with the purpose of increasing hotel capacity in Egypt to accommodate the growing number of tourists in Egypt. ADD Developments continues to demonstrate their dedication to the Egyptian hospitality and tourism industries, having recently launched the Hyatt Regency Cairo West in 2022 and the Hyatt Centric Cairo West shortly after.

Emaar Misr Set to Develop New Tourism Project on the Red Sea 🌊🇪🇬

According to Enterprise News (2025, June), in partnership with Citystars Properties, Emaar Misr is expected to develop a tourism project. This is expected to be a 10 million square meter project, which will be located on the Red Sea. The project will consist of hotels along with residential and commercial complexes and entertainment facilities. The hotels are expected to be four and five star ratings.

Vision 2031: Egypt Plans 30 Million Tourists Through Strategic Investment 📈🇪🇬

According to Daily News Egypt (2025, June) Egypt aims to increase tourist traffic to 30 million by 2031, as part of its Vision 2031 strategy. A meeting was recently held to review the plan for increasing foreign direct investment, wherein the hospitality and tourism industries were highlighted due to their importance to Egypt. Foreign investment will be critical to achieving Vision 2031's aim of 30 million tourists. In fact a unit is being formed to monitor investment opportunities, which will present available projects in the industry.

In addition, 19,000 hotel rooms are planned to open in 2025 in order to meet this tourist goal, according to Daily News Egypt (2025, June). While in 2024, the hotel capacity increased by 7,200, with 55% of them being new. 🏨

Furthermore, the intended investment plan includes hotel rooms, restaurants, and a variety of tourist attractions, such as safaris and theme parks, with the goal of increasing tourism and, as a result, tourist satisfaction.

First-Ever 25hours Hotel to Open in Egypt – A New Chapter in Hospitality 🏨🇪🇬

Ennismore and Majid Al Futtaim are set to develop a 25hours hotel in West Cairo, according to Scene Traveller (2025, June). The 250 key hotel is set to feature a combination of standard rooms and branded residences, which will be designed with the intention of creating a community focused hospitality concept. Within the 25hours Hotel there will be three dining options, wellness and spa amenities, along with event and meeting spaces.

The 25hours Hotel does not currently have an official opening date however it is expected to feature as a part of Junction, a business and lifestyle hub. Junction will include various carefully selected retail and F&B options.

Giza Palace Opens in Cairo - A New Benchmark for Luxury Hospitality 🏨✨

One of the Leading Hotels of the World, Giza Palace, has officially opened in Cairo in June according to Chen (2025, June). The Travco Group owned hotel, with its interior crafted by Wimberly Interiors, contains 560 keys. The hotel will feature various amenities including multiple restaurants, a grand ballroom, a rooftop padel court, meeting spaces, and more. One of these restaurants will be a Michelin-starred restaurant by chef Sergi Arola.

Accor To Expand in Egypt with Mӧvenpick West Cairo 🏨

A new Mӧvenpick hotel is expected to open in Sheikh Zayed according to Enterprise News (2025, June). The Mӧvenpick West Cairo hotel will contain 220 rooms and suites. There will also be various amenities on offer to guests at the hotel including: a variety of dining options, event planning space, a spa, and pools.

Accor is set to operate this hotel, along with Crest Development who will construct it. The hotel will be centrally located, a prime location for tourists as it provides easy access to both residential and business districts, along with cultural monuments such as the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Hilton Launches Nile Cruise – A New Standard for Luxury Service 🛳️✨

Hilton is expected to launch their Waldorf Astoria Cruise Ship in Egypt for the first time in late 2026. Guests will be able to experience Luxor’s and Aswan’s historical landmarks through a luxury Nile cruise.

On board this luxury cruise, guests will have access to various amenities including a spa, a fitness centre and multiple dining options. Hilton’s goal is to expand their presence in Egypt, this is an exciting addition to this.
