Did you know ....
The "Fiesta de Los Caballos del Vino", in Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia) is now part of Unesco's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. it is a festive event around the horse, which is held annually between 1 and 3 May in the town of Murciana. The central act consists of the horseback riding through the streets of the city and its ascent to the castle accompanied by four horselists on foot.

The origin of this centuries-old tradition dates back to the seventeenth century and is linked to the transfer of w**e to Caravaca Castle for the ritual of bathing the Vera Cruz in w**e. One of the peculiarities of the festival is the careful lattining of horses with garments made specifically for the occasion, which include pieces embroidered with silk, rhinestones and canutille of gold and silver, made to measure for each animal.

This is one event you should put on your "Bucket List" ... start making plans now. Just in case this pandemia should live us SOON!!!!

Good morning everybody!!!
Not trying yo make our northern/central european friends jealous or anything ... but here in the Murcia region we are still enjoying warm weather. It is in fact the best time to enjoy a long walk 😅

Anyhow it is time to look forward to the outdoor life. After the lockdown (and what a pain that is!!!) we should be looking forward to going out into the fresh air. Some of you will look forward to laying on a beach somewhere ... and we understand that. But for those of you who enjoy staying healthy and experiencing something different why not consider a nice Walking Holiday? We leave the level of difficulty up to you, after being closed down for soooo long maybe a nice stroll along the vineyards with a rewarding visit to a cellar at the end of it sounds appealing? We are here to help you organise your trip.
Let us look forward to the possibility of spending Xmas with our loved ones. That would the best present they can give us, we think.
