Ever had this question creep in? Who am I to teach this?

It still sneaks up on me too. I'm building something I care about deeply, and now and then the doubt gets loud. There are so many people who already teach how to grow a business. People I admire. People I've learned from. So who am I to add my voice to that?

But here's what I keep coming back to. There are a hundred programs that teach you how to make 10k a month. 100k a month. How to build the funnel, get the leads, run the ads. And they work. But not one of them teaches it the way I needed it taught. From a Life First perspective. Where the whole point isn't to make the money first and live later. It's to build the business around a life you're already living.

It will all line up.

This is your permission slip.

For most of my life, there was me, and there was them.

Them who had the money.
Them who were effortlessly confident.
Them who ran their business in their first language, not their third.
Them who got it right the first time.
Them who had the perfect body.

And there was a line, and I was always on this side of it.

I thought the line was made of achievements.
Earn enough, prove enough, fix enough of yourself, and one day you cross over.

So I chased.

Then we hit our first 130k year.

And I still felt like I was on this side. The money came and the line did not move. Because it was never made of money.

The week I got my Invisalign, before a single tooth had moved, I already felt like I had the most amazing smile. The real result was a year away. But in my head, I was already there.

The other side is not a place you earn your way to. It is a permission you give yourself.

And the wildest part: there is no other side.

There is no them. Just people who gave themselves permission, and people still waiting for proof.

Once your mind is already on the other side, your circumstances line up to match. The inside shifts first. The outside is only ever catching up.

This is the version of "being your own boss" we were all handed, and then told to be grateful for.

That "be your own boss" is really just "be the final answer to every question, forever." The big ones, the tiny ones, the what-do-we-name-the-file ones.

That is the myth. And it is the exact thing a Life First business is built to undo.

Here is what actually got me out of it, and none of it was working harder:

1. I wrote down HOW I make each decision, not just what I decided. The criteria that live in my head. Once it is on paper, someone else can make the call the way I would.

2. I gave my team real authority with guardrails. "Anything under this amount, or inside these rules, you decide; you do not need me." The number of things that actually need me shrank fast.

3. I let systems make the small repetitive decisions by default, so my brain is not spent on which font or which time slot.

4. I stopped being the final yes on everything, and kept it only for the few decisions that genuinely move the business.

A Life First business is not one where every answer runs through you. It is one you have designed so it does not have to.

Confession: I am the island of calm for my clients' launches. Steady, sure, "trust the plan, the buyers come." I have watched it a hundred times.

And then I opened my own doors. Immediately, two thoughts showed up: "What if no one buys. And, why haven't I just stuck to my 1:1 clients?"

Here is the honest part. I did not spiral. Because I know those are just normal intrusive thoughts.

Everyone launching something they love hears them. Knowing exactly how launches work does not delete the fear. It just means I don't hand it the wheel.

So I did what I tell my clients. I noticed the thoughts, let them pass, and trusted the plan I built when I was calm.

And then yesterday, the first founding members started rolling in. A huge weight lifted. Real people, ready to build this with me. 🥹
