Take Action AUGUST! ☀️

Almost 21 years in the education space, and there’s a statistic that remains the same despite all the other changes I’ve witnessed over the years…

September is the most academic (and potentially the most profitable) month of the year.

Why? Because it’s the month everyone starts to think about the last quarter of the year, and everyone wants to end the year strong.

Kids are back at school, the world starts turning a little faster again, and lots of people are thinking about stacking their money.

For the beauty industry in particular, the 3 most profitable months in selling education. September, November, and January, are just around the corner .

Here are 10 things you could be doing in AUGUST, if you actually want momentum next month in your business:

1. Stalk your own Instagram profile (or wherever you mainly post your content) like a stranger! Could someone be confused the second they land on your page? Go through your own funnel, and be honest… would YOU buy from you?

2. Fix your sales process ASAP. If someone has to “figure out” how to work with you… they won’t.

3. Stop posting just to stay “active” (I was so guilty of this one!). Content without intention won’t make you money. Your content should move people to TAKE ACTION. What are you asking them to do? What are their next steps? Make this step SO bloody clear!

4. Is it time to raise your prices? If you’re constantly working but not taking home real income… it's time to revisit your numbers, and announce a price increase for September.

5. Collect leads OFF social media. Build an email list if you haven’t yet. You don’t own your audience on social media… and that’s risky business IMO.

6. Create ONE clear signature offer. Not 10 (not yet anyway!). You need one main offer (what you sell) so people can instantly understand, and easily decide if it’s what they need.

7. Follow up with people who didn’t buy. There is literally money sitting in your DMs, PMs, and emails right now. There really is fortune in the follow ups.

8. Fix your market positioning. Who do you help? What problem do you solve? Why YOU over everyone else? Don’t be afraid to share why you’re a better choice than your competitors.

9. Actually have a content strategy. Not “I’ll post when I feel like it” (that was so me by the way, before I built The Educator Engine™️). A real plan that attracts, nurtures, and converts even when you’re not on your phone. Build your content creation into an RGA (revenue generating activity). Mine is every Thursday.

10. Create a digital product. This one is important. This is where you stop relying only on your time and start creating scalable income; and before you say “I’m not ready” … you already know more than someone who would pay to learn from you. It's really not that deep!

Even if you start with a couple of the above, you’ll start Q4 much stronger.

Over 15 years ago I started teaching women in the beauty industry to become educators.

I was also the first in my space that included public speaking at my teacher training events: the educator summits (known now as the Speech To Teach™️ method).

Over 20 years ago I set up my first training academy (fun fact, my third physical academy was set up 10 years ago today in Scotland!).

Over 7 years ago I moved one of my in-person courses, online.

And despite the huge growth and success I have had in this space, spinning over two decades, I cannot tell you enough, how NOW is the most exiting time to for anyone that wants to leverage their skills, and experience, and start selling their KNOWLEDGE, along side their time.

The heat this week has been INTENSE.

In fact some of you closed your beauty business, and lost out on revenue because of it.

Lash techs had retention issues.

Nail techs had products fail them.

Skincare clinics had product degrading issues due to the active ingredients.

And, if my memory serves me right when I was running my salon in intense heat, there's also staff fatigue, no-shows from clients, and salons basically feeling like an oven due to lack of air conditioning.

And even though none of this was your fault, your takings were down... and if that wasn't bad enough, you didn't even WANT to work!

Not when we're having a heat wave like this... but you know you HAD to, because if you stop, so does your income.

And THAT right there, is what I want to talk to you about... again...

What if you didn't have to work like that?

What if a week like this one, where products don't perform, clients don't show, doesn't rely on you physically being in your salon to make an income?

This is not a fantasy. This is just a different business model.

I had a lovely day in the New Forest, and Lymington today, and whilst there, I went to check out the new Nici Hotel.

I got talking with the bar manager, and he shared with me something they’re doing a little different to their Bournemouth hotel.

Both hotels are aiming for the same high standard - but walk into each, and you’d think they were built for two totally different clients.

Bournemouth is loud and buzzing. Lymington is quiet and considered.

Neither hotel is “better.” They’re just built for different people.

It made me think… that’s just how I’ve built my Next Level mastermind 🤩

It now has two levels.

Level 1 👉🏼 Leap. Leap is for the busy and booked up beauty professional, ready to make money online with their knowledge. A new, additional income stream that doesn’t rely on their hands, and sets them free from the “time for money trap”.
