True innovation thrives in a community, not in isolation. 🌱🤝

Welcome to the Cohort 7 Startup Graduation and Entrepreneurial Community Launch Program in Wolaita S**o! This incredible milestone celebrates a dynamic network of young innovators, visionaries, and changemakers who are coming together to redefine the future of their local economy.

Powered by the SEED Program, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), the Mastercard Foundation, and Orbit Innovation Hub, this initiative goes beyond launching individual businesses. We are building a self-sustaining entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In this video, you’ll hear from inspiring founders—like Eyerusalem Mengistu (Eco Malta Packaging), Libinesh Demeke (City Bloom), Ephrata Anteneh, and many others—who are tackling regional challenges ranging from plastic pollution to accessible healthcare and agricultural efficiency. More importantly, you’ll see how they are collaborating, sharing resources, and establishing a peer-to-peer support system that will empower the next generation of Ethiopian entrepreneurs.

When we support a community, we transform a city. 🏙️✨

We are incredibly proud to see Pazion Cherinet, CEO of Orbit Innovation Hub, Orbit Health & Orbit AI Labs, representing true Ethiopian entrepreneurship on the Ethio Startups judging panel! 🌟

Through Orbit Innovation Hub, Pazion and his team have helped incubate dozens of local startups and create jobs for our youth. On the show, he gave young founders the exact advice they need to succeed in our country:

👉 Don't build apps people don't want to use. If Ethiopians prefer a phone call, give them an automated phone service!

👉 Don't forget about the community. If you build a legal app, make sure it includes free (Pro Bono) advice for those who can't afford it.

👉 Always think about access. How are everyday people going to get the devices they need to use your service?

This is how we build a digital Ethiopia that works for everyone. 👏🇪🇹

Do you agree that tech companies need to focus more on local culture and access? Let us know your thoughts below! 👇

We often obsess over product-market fit, funding, and growth hacks, but we rarely talk about the psychological toll of entrepreneurship.

If you don't understand your own blind spots, how can you effectively lead a team?

In Episode 5 of Insights Unplugged, host Dawit Teshome Gebresenbet sits down with Wendwesen Endale Workneh to discuss the "Inner Game" of entrepreneurship. We are stripping away the hustle culture and getting real about self-discovery, imposter syndrome, and aligning your startup with your personal values.
Here is a sneak peek of what’s to come. 👀
