Job Title:Printing Machine Operator

Role Overview:
A Printing Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing machinery (e.g., offset, digital, flexographic, or screen printing presses) to produce high-quality printed materials. They ensure efficient production runs, troubleshoot minor issues, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup & Operation:
- Prepare printing presses by installing plates, inks, and substrates (paper, plastic, etc.).
- Adjust machine settings (speed, alignment, ink flow) for optimal print quality.
- Monitor print runs to detect and correct defects (smudging, misalignment, color inconsistencies).
2. Quality Control:
- Perform regular checks to ensure prints meet specifications.
- Follow job orders and approve samples before full production.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct basic cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Identify and resolve common mechanical issues (jams, ink drying problems).
4. Safety & Compliance:
- Follow workplace safety protocols (PPE, hazardous material handling).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
5. Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with supervisors and colleagues to meet production deadlines.
- Report malfunctions or material shortages promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in printing technology is a plus.
Experience:
1-2 years operating printing machinery (offset, digital, flexo, etc.). Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of press mechanics and color-matching.
- Ability to read job orders and use measuring tools (calipers, densitometers).
Additional Skill:
- Attention to detail and problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
