Strengthening Transitional Justice through Regional Learning
EthioAfric Raising Consulting Firm is pleased to see the continued knowledge exchange between Liberia and Ethiopia on transitional justice, accountability, and inclusive peacebuilding.
This dialogue hosted by the NIMD Liberia Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy brought together civil society organizations, survivor groups, and government representatives to share experiences and lessons from Liberia’s transitional justice journey. Organized by ትምራን Timran Discussions highlighted the importance of strong collaboration between government institutions, civil society, and grassroots actors in advancing justice and reconciliation processes.
We commend Association of Female Lawyers of Liberia (AFELL) and other Liberian civil society organizations for their important advocacy on legal and institutional reforms, including efforts to establish a hybrid war and economic crimes court, and for promoting a holistic approach to transitional justice that prioritizes victim-centered processes, community engagement, reconciliation, and institutional reform.
Such regional peer-learning platforms are essential for strengthening partnerships, amplifying survivors’ voices, and promoting inclusive and sustainable peace processes across Africa.
EthioAfric Raising Consulting Firm believes that South–South collaboration and shared experiences play a critical role in shaping more effective and gender-responsive transitional justice initiatives.

Learning Across Borders: Transitional Justice and Women’s Leadership
EthioAfric Raising Consulting Firm is pleased to see this important peer learning exchange between Liberia and Ethiopia on transitional justice, peacebuilding, and women’s leadership.
Through this engagement, the TIMRAN delegation from Ethiopia had the opportunity to learn from Liberia’s rich experience in advancing accountability, reconciliation, and survivor-centred justice processes. Liberia’s journey demonstrates the transformative role that women’s movements and civil society organizations can play in shaping peace and justice—from the historic Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace movement to ongoing advocacy for accountability mechanisms and community reconciliation initiatives.
We particularly appreciate the leadership of WONGOSOL (Women NGOs Secretariat of Liberia) and partners who continue to champion gender-responsive and survivor-centered approaches in transitional justice.
At EthioAfric Raising Consulting Firm, we believe that regional knowledge exchange and South-South learning are powerful pathways to strengthen inclusive governance, women’s leadership, and sustainable peace across Africa.
We commend all partners involved in facilitating this important dialogue and look forward to continued collaboration that advances Women, TJ, Peace and Security (WPS) and inclusive justice systems.
