Summer is giving way to autumn.

Mornings are cooler now, the light has turned deeper and more golden, and there is a fresh breeze in the air. The days can still be warm, but the season is clearly beginning to change.
It is one of the nicest times to head to the lake, the coast or the countryside and enjoy the last warmth before autumn properly settles in.

Just 30 minutes from Helsinki, Västerskog sits where forest, meadow and village life meet.

The log-built home opens towards a large terrace, jacuzzi and garden, with a wood-fired sauna and fireplace adding to its Finnish character. What makes Västerskog particularly good for families, however, is the space created for children: a playhouse, trampoline, swings, football goals, climbing ropes, a ladder and gym rings, all with the forest beginning just beyond the yard.

Söderkulla’s cafés and shops are close by, while Gumbostrand harbour, swimming spots and Sipoonkorpi National Park are all within easy reach.
