✈️ Winning Case: A Family of Three Received Compensation for a Turkish Airlines Flight Delayed by Over 4 Hours

Flight TK164 (Istanbul – Hanoi) on January 30, 2026, was delayed by 4 hours and 20 minutes upon arrival. The airline did not provide a specific reason for the delay.

According to EU261 regulations, when a flight is delayed by 3 hours or more, passengers are entitled to compensation, unless the airline can prove it was a force majeure event (extreme weather, strikes, security risks, etc.). Since no clear reason was given, the airline could not invoke an exemption from liability.

The family of three received full compensation and did not have to pay any upfront costs during the process.

Turkish Airlines Flight Compensation – €600 Successfully Claimed

Qatar Airways denied boarding to an entire family, including a 4-month-old baby.
While the family was checking in, the airline pulled them aside and told them they couldn't fly — because the baby was under 2 years old but had been booked on a child ticket meant for kids over 2.

They had to wait another 3 days before they could fly. Qatar Airways sent an apology letter about the incident, but when the family filed for compensation, the airline still said no.

EU261/2004 is very clear on denied boarding cases, so we kept pushing the claim, and in the end, the full compensation for the whole family was paid out. ✅

If you've ever been denied boarding, for whatever reason, and the airline rejected your compensation claim, don't stop there. This happens far more often than people think, and the rights are yours.

Another successful flight compensation case closed! ✈️💼

A client came to me after having their claim rejected by Uzbekistan Airways. In their response letter, the airline stated that the passenger had not contacted them directly. However, the evidence showed otherwise — the passenger had contacted the airline and was denied compensation because the flight cancellation was allegedly caused by "bad meteorological conditions."

After carefully reviewing the case and pursuing the claim, I challenged the airline's position and continued the process on behalf of my client.

Five months later, the case has been successfully resolved, and my client has received €400 in compensation. 🎉

This case is a reminder that an initial rejection is not always the final answer. Airlines sometimes rely on explanations that do not necessarily exempt them from compensation obligations, and many valid claims are abandoned too early.

Persistence, evidence, and a thorough understanding of passenger rights can make all the difference.
