Strengthening Safety and Security in Pacific Harbour 🤝👮‍♂️

Earlier today, Estate Management Services Ltd (EMSL) had the privilege of joining a key Community Policing Meeting alongside the Divisional Police Commander Southern Division and Senior officers of the Fiji Police Force.

The engagement focused on proactive strategies to enhance estate safety, boost security responsiveness, and foster a closer partnership between EMSL, our residents, and local law enforcement.

Key priorities highlighted during the meeting included:

🔹 Dedicated Mobility: Our Director formally requested the allocation of a dedicated police vehicle for Pacific Harbour. While our community was grateful to receive an operational vehicle back on December 9, 2021, it subsequently went out of service and has not yet been replaced. Restoring a dedicated vehicle to support the Navua Police Station and our Pacific Harbour Community Post remains vital for effective mobile patrols and rapid response times.

🔹 Youth Unemployment & Community Engagement: Addressing unemployment among local youth was discussed as a vital factor in long-term crime prevention. EMSL and police leadership exchanged ideas on positive community outreach and engagement initiatives to support and guide our young people constructively.

🔹 Commending Local Leadership: EMSL extends our sincere appreciation to our local Post Officer together with his Team of Officer's in Pacific Harbour for their outstanding dedication and hard work. Their proactive approach, strong community presence, and seamless collaboration with Navua Station have made a significant, positive impact across our estate.

📌 IMPORTANT NOTICE: Green Waste & Garden Clippings Collection Guidelines 🌿

To All our Rate Payers

Dear Residents

In our continuous effort to maintain a cleaner, more beautiful, and presentable Pacific Harbour Resort, Estate Management Services Limited (EMSL) would like to remind everyone of the official guidelines and schedules for Green Waste Collection (also attached herein).

To ensure efficient operations and avoid penalties, please carefully review the guidelines below:

📅 Collection Schedule & Cut-Off Times
Collections are carried out strictly according to your area's assigned day. Please note that no collections will be made on Public Holidays.

Collection Hours:
Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Fridays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

📍 Please refer to the official Garden Clippings Collection Schedule image attached below to find the specific collection day for your street or circle.

📑 Key Collection Rules & Guidelines
■ Bag & Sack Limit: Garden clippings must be securely placed in bags or sacks and set out on the road verge. Standard collection covers up to four (4) bags/sacks of total capacity.

■ Excess & Outside Schedule Requests: Any clippings exceeding the 4-bag limit, or any requests made for collections outside your area's stipulated schedule day, will incur an additional fee.

■ Weight Restrictions: Sacks must be easily manageable. If a resident can easily lift the bag, our municipal workers can too. Overweight or contaminated bags will be left uncollected with an explanatory note. Empty sacks will be returned to owners after being emptied into the truck.

■ Tree Branches: Branches must be cut and placed neatly by the road verge. Dimensions must not exceed an estimated 2 meters in length and 1 meter in height, stacked neatly.

■ Other Wastes: Tree trunks, old stoves, fridges, tyres, or general household garbage will not be collected under green waste. Separate arrangements must be made directly with our Office beforehand.

Need proper bags for your garden clippings? We’ve got you covered! EMSL now has green waste bags in stock available at a very reasonable cost per bag. Stop by the office to purchase yours and keep your verge tidy.

⚠️ Strict Enforcement: Avoid Litter Fines
Please be advised that placing clippings out on a non-pick-up day is legally considered "LITTERING". Furthermore, using road verges as a general garbage disposal site or for building materials is a serious offence under the LITTER DECREE.

Our Litter Prevention Officers are conducting routine checks, and spot fines or prosecution by the Ministry of Environment will be strictly imposed on violators.

As we approach the Easter season, the Holiest in our Christian Calendar, a time of Reflection and Renewal, we want to extend our warmest wishes to our Community whilst remind you as per detailed summary for Collections together with other important reminders referred to below;

📌We wish to advise that we will be CLOSED for business on the 3rd day of April 2026 (Good Friday) and the 6th day of April 2026 (Easter Monday).

📌We resume business on the 7th day of April 2026, and this day being a Tuesday, therefore all Kitchen Refuse items and Garden Clippings items (designated day only) will be collected.

Ensure all Kitchen refuse/Green waste items are bagged in proper garbage disposal/GC sacks whilst stacked neatly on the road verge for collection.

📍Re: OUR NEW TRANSIT SPACE 🚌

To our Pacific Harbour Neighbors and Commuters, As we move through March 2026, you’ve likely noticed a significant change to our Landscape along the Queens Highway. Just outside the Arts Village Complex, the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has officially completed the installation of the New Bus Shelter.

■ Honoring Our History
We at EMSL want to take a moment to acknowledge the Old Shelter that Served us so well. Since it was Erected by EMSL in 2022, it became a familiar Landmark—a Place where We Shielded Ourselves from the Rain, Shared morning Greetings, and waited for our Journeys to begin. We know many of you have a Sentimental attachment to that Spot, and We Share those Feelings.

■ Embracing Progress
While it is hard to say goodbye to the old, it is time to look forward. The new FRA shelter, which was erected exactly two weeks ago, represents an update to our Local infrastructure.

📌We Encourage Everyone to:

● Appreciate the New: Take advantage of the upgraded structure and design.

● Maintain the Space: Let’s work together to keep this New facility Clean and Graffiti-free for Everyone’s comfort.
