Bird Flu, also known as Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), primarily affects birds, but some strains can also infect other animals, including mammals.
Pets such as cats and dogs may be exposed if they come into contact with infected or sick birds, carcasses, contaminated environments, or consume raw or undercooked infected animal products.
๐ฑ Cats can be particularly vulnerable to infection following exposure to infected birds.
๐ถ Dogs may also be exposed, especially if they interact with sick or dead birds or contaminated areas.
๐ฆ Pet birds can also be at risk through contact with infected wild birds or contaminated equipment, feed, water and surfaces.
