It's tax season! Of course, this isn't something anyone looks forward to, but to make it a bit easier for you we thought we'd share our basic guide to completing your tax return again.

This guide is suited to those with French salary income only.
As a reminder, anyone with income in France, whether they are resident or not, is required to submit an annual income tax declaration, and that includes those on seasonnaire carte de séjours.
Don't worry, this doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have a bill; most employees are paying a tax contribution each month which is deducted from the payslip, so you're most likely going to end up with no extra tax to pay, but you'll have your Avis d'impots and tax number to prove you've done the obligatory declaration ✅
