Today I managed to persuade my local MP to join me for lunch at the House of Lords. Having just taken office in this years elections it was nice to get to know him.

Turns out we grew up round the corner from each other in London and married into moving to our lovely town in Kent!

He joined me to support the launch of new research about the continued challenges facing women in entrepreneurship. And of course we talked about the work of and in mentoring Care Leavers.

Bravo to for such a great report and event.

I always love learning something new. This weekend myself and my awesome cousin Tommy arranged to meet a lady I met at a festival in a field outside of Brighton!

I attended her brilliant workshop on Water Kefir at the festival and have since become an avid producer! This weekend she was collaborating with an expert forager to teach about improving gut health from what you can find around you.

I was blown away! I had no idea what is literally on our doorsteps and how beneficial it can be to you. The knowledge of these ladies was incredible. At the end we combined all our pickings into our own home made sauerkraut (field made to be more precise!).

A huge thank you to Tommy and the Foraging team. It was the most beautiful way to switch off and reconnect with nature whilst meeting amazing people.

The missing ‘S’ in ESG?! 🤔

Today I met with fellow board members of which I Chair alongside Penny Anderson.

As the only truly independent non-profit body championing in the U.K. we are on a mission to help more people understand their impact on people.👊🏻

There is so much focus on the ‘E’ and ‘G’ but we often find that the ‘S’ is a bit of a mystery to most, or perhaps dare I say it, a tick box exercise! 🙈

But there is so much great work in the U.K. with companies large and small starting to understand how to create and measure meaningful and sustainable social value. 🏆

At Social value U.K. we want to shine a light on some of the best practices and bring together people making a difference. 💡

Pretty cool ‘take your daughter to work day’! 👩‍👧

I was honoured to be asked to deliver the key note speech at The FAs conference today and great to have a special assistant! ⚽️

As a thank you from the FA we have been ushered in the B***y Moore entrance at Wembley Stadium 🏟️ to see England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 vs Malta 🇲🇹.
