📢 Roll up, roll up, hot waffles here!

Let’s Brunch is a Waffle House out in sunny Fremantle, WA. Sit in, take-away or sit in the garden out back 🌞 It’s got a locals vibe, where the service is everything, the coffee is flowing, and the playlist is 👌 ☕️

Of course this brand was screaming out for a mascot (not every one does, but this one 😙👌) – and this wee Waffle House just embodies everything the cafe is about – he’s cheery, full of syrup & sunshine, *and* he remembers your usual order 😉🌞

Other logo variations include a stacked version (pic 4) which is clean, clear & perfect for places the little mascot won’t quite fit or work. This can easily be built upon to include more details, or would work well as a tag or sticker 😋

I’m gona post these as standalone throughout the week too but I just wanted to get these ones out as a set first of all as they work so well together 🧇

Final post for The Rooftop Bakery 🥐 ✨

All 3 logo variations featured on the packaging here 😄 Another example of why it’s super important to have your logo in more than one size/style!

All of my logo packages come with more than 1 variation for this reason (even the smallest one) because there just aren’t many scenarios where one single logo will cut it 🙅‍♀️

✨ Your new branding in action ✨

It’s always great to see how your branding can be used throughout your business.

This is why it’s important to have logo variations as not every logo size will fit the item you’d like to put it on!

For example here, the horizontal logo is perfect for the header of printed material, or for the website header on desktop, but mobile view might be more suited to the small square mark.

The mascot is perfect for adding a little bit of personality where you might sign off, or where you introduce yourself, but it wouldn’t be suitable for a social media profile image as it doesn’t scale down clearly (this particular one), so the square logo would be much better and more impactful.

🔑 Strollin’ in to save the day – it’s The Lisborne Locksmith!

I love working with limited colour palettes and this was no exception – I was aiming for something modern & professional, but also ‘homely’ in a way (since you’ll be inviting this person into your home to fix your locks!).

The soft, deep blue plays into the professional, trustworthy image, and the light terracotta brings the warm, welcoming aspect. I always include an off-white (in this case, a warm toned one) to help the illustrations pop when they’re placed over imagery.

I’ll share some mock-ups tomorrow of how this branding might be used IRL ✨

✨ JAMskate ✨

custom skates & roller apparel brand 😏

I couldn’t help but share just a couple of ways a single brand illustration can be used on products or marketing materials 🌞

I love the tilt on this logo, I wanted it to push off into the distance just a little... like pushing off with your skates. And the smooth wave sets me in mind of these epic skate parks like the one in Berlin where roller lovers show off their mad skills (check out for this 😍😍😍)
