Our monthly community get-together is getting a Halloween twist this October—and because it falls on a Saturday night, we’ve decided to make it an evening to remember.

The theme: THE GREAT GATSBY.

We’ll be returning to the same beautiful restaurant for an evening of dinner, drinks, dancing, and meeting wonderful people from around the world who now call the Côte d’Azur home.

There is no event fee—everyone simply pays for their own dinner and drinks. The purpose is exactly what our gatherings have always been about: bringing people together, making new friends, creating connections, and building a genuine community here.

THIS is what Move to Nice is really about.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this month so special. When you watch these videos and see everyone dancing, laughing and having such a wonderful time together, you’re seeing something that has become just as important to us as helping someone find a home.

The people in these photos came to the South of France from all over the world. Some are past clients. Some are current clients. Some have never been clients at all — they’re simply people we met along the way who became part of our community and, in many cases, our friends. We feel incredibly blessed to have every single one of them in our lives.

It actually started with a small group of us simply trying to build a community for ourselves. We were all looking for connection, friendship and that feeling that this new place was truly home. Somehow, that little group grew into something much bigger.

Now we get together once a month, and one of the things we love most is that every month there are new faces joining us. People arrive from different countries, different backgrounds and different walks of life, and before long, introductions turn into conversations, conversations turn into friendships, and the community just keeps growing.

Today, Hervé and I have the privilege of helping other people do the same thing.

Sometimes we help someone find the rental where their new life in France will begin. Sometimes we help them purchase the home they have dreamed about. But what we have realized along the way is that we aren’t just helping people find homes — we’re helping people build lives.

A home is only part of moving to another country. You also need people. You need friends to call for dinner, someone to have a glass of w**e with, people to laugh and dance with, and eventually those familiar faces that make a foreign city stop feeling foreign.

Watching friendships form between people we introduced, watching our clients become part of our community, and seeing people arrive in France knowing almost no one and eventually become surrounded by friends gives Hervé and me an incredible sense of purpose.
