August state of mind: we’re not quite ready to come back to land yet. Featuring a contemporary yacht project by Andrée Putman Studio, bringing the Putmanian architectural language to sea through pure lines, generous volumes, natural light, and endless horizons.

If you’re in the Hamptons this summer, don’t miss LongHouse Reserve.

Created by internationally acclaimed textile designer and author Jack Lenor Larsen, this 16-acre landscape brings together gardens, sculpture, and design as a living work of art.

Andrée Putman was part of Larsen’s story from the beginning, as one of the original board members of his textile company. In 2004, her Éléphant bench was featured at LongHouse as part of BENCHmark, an exhibition dedicated to the many possibilities of the public bench.

Today, the Éléphant bench remains in the garden, inviting visitors to sit, pause, and take in the landscape. The bench carries a plaque in memory of Mabel Larsen, Jack Lenor Larsen’s mother.

LongHouse Reserve is open through the season — and the Éléphant bench has a seat waiting for you.

Chemin Faisant reinterprets a motif originally designed by Andrée Putman for Louis Vuitton in 1995. Transformed from scarf to rug, the composition unfolds through organic lines and a subtle sense of movement.

To celebrate the centenary of Andrée Putman, Louis Vuitton reissued the original silk scarf, now available in selected Louis Vuitton stores and online. The rug, meanwhile, joins the Andrée Putman collection, extending the same graphic language into the home.

Andrée Putman would have turned 100 this year. As we celebrate this milestone, Andrée Putman Studio enters a new chapter with the opening of our New York showroom, the launch of new furniture re-editions, and a year of projects dedicated to carrying forward the legacy of our founder.

More than a celebration of the past, this centenary is an invitation to continue imagining the future through the timeless values that defined Andrée Putman’s work.
