Join us for our new Creative Continuum: monthly meetups for all creatives in NE Scotland on the last Wednesday of each month
First one is on Wednesday 29th January 2025 6-8pm. Hot drinks and some snacks will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own also.

We did three more structured session's back in September and they were our first events as FINE ~ Freelance Independents North East ~ a work-in-progress, peer-led network for creative workers in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. We were very pleased with the turn out and engagement and enthusiasm and would be delighted to see you all again! Please come and bring your friends!

These are predominantly social meetups but intended as a space to discuss creative matters, ideas, possible collaborations and the kind of events you might want to see happen in the future.

FINE is being developed by a core group of creative freelancers in partnership with Look Again and with support from Culture Aberdeen. This project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

REFLECTIONS FROM THE CREATIVE EXCHANGE PANELS…pt1…FINE are keen to promote the idea that art is more than a business and entrepreneurship. Art and culture is health, life force, equity, social and environmental justice and at every point of intersectionality. Art and culture is the humanising counter narrative to the dehumanising State we’re in, we’re really at a revolutionary point in history not seen since the Industrial Revolution…the world is changing and we need art and culture more than ever.

It’s not them and us, it’s just us, and we’ve got to do it together. That’s why strengthening our creative communities is so vital right now.

Deep in dialogue The Creative Exchange this morning where we had the privilege of introducing ourselves to and taking over the morning by delivering a beautiful writing workshop and psychogeographic asset mapping workshop.

Thank you for your participation, your willingness and open hearted, open armed sharing. As per our action research process now is the time for reflecting and planning next steps.

A huge thank you to for inviting us to contribute and to for convening, , for facilitating, organising and chairing and for funding today.

And double thank yous to for initiating and funding FINE and working in partnership to create something amazing WITH freelance independent creatives in the north east.
