We’re looking for flexible marketing and business development support at Carter People Development.

This is an ad-hoc role that would ideally suit a freelancer, a current marketing or business student looking for practical experience, or a recent graduate wanting to build their portfolio.

How you’ll help us:

Business Development & Lead Gen: Helping us identify new opportunities, research prospects, and grow our pipeline.

Social Media: Assisting with content creation and managing our channels to support our outreach.

Events: Supporting the planning, promotion, and ex*****on of our events to drive engagement.

Over the past few months, it’s been great to see momentum building at Carter People Development.

Alongside a busy delivery schedule, I’ve been working with organisations across the public and private sectors to support leadership development, people practice, and real‑world capability building.

Recent highlights include:
▪ Delivering multiple workshops on the CIPD Business Partner Practitioner Programme, working with highly engaged cohorts across the NHS and wider public sector.
▪ Continuing collaboration with organisations such as Natural Resources Wales, ensuring learning materials remain practical, relevant and accessible.
▪ Supporting leaders through executive and senior coaching, particularly those navigating change, complexity and increased accountability.
▪ Refining CPD’s capability offer and associate model, enabling growth while maintaining quality, credibility and values‑led practice.

What I’m most proud of is the continued focus on practical, evidence‑based learning, not just ticking boxes, but building confidence, judgement and impact in roles that really matter.

More to come over the coming months, but for now, a sincere thank you to clients, associates and participants for the trust and engagement.

✨ Great feedback from a recent virtual eMHFA delivery ✨

Huge thanks to Shaun Perry and colleagues at Cerebra (Charity) who invited me to deliver Mental Health First Aid as part of a wider wellbeing initiative being delivered across the organisation.

It was brilliant to see such strong engagement throughout the sessions, and I’m delighted with the feedback received — including an overall 5⭐ rating.

It was a privilege to facilitate aspects of the WJEC / CBAC Spring Leadership Conference this week.

We explored the external pressures currently impacting the sector, focusing on how leaders can position themselves to respond with both agility and compassion.

Alongside the conference, I have been delivering mentoring training to those guiding the next generation of talent on the WJEC Aspiring Leaders Programme.

I spent a wonderful day in London this week with the management team at ECA Global, exploring how we can better support mental health within our teams.

It was a packed session, and we moved beyond the technical side of leadership to focus on what truly matters: the human side.

A highlight for me was our deep dive into developing more compassionate conversations and how leaders lean into the idea that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do for a colleague is to simply listen with empathy and respond with curiosity and care.

Thank you Nicola and the team at ECA Global for being so receptive and for your commitment to reducing mental health stigma. It’s these kinds of conversations that make our workplaces feel a little more human.
